Still, think about how much better this and previous Castlevania seasons could have been if Netflix would just greenlight multiple seasons at a time (instead of leaving the team's fate up in the air). S2 Ep. 8 could work as a season or series finale (let's hope it's the former), but in a perfect world, the team could fully commit to the future without wondering, "Is there a chance we'll be ending the series with a cliffhanger cause Netflix screwed us over?"

Also presuming that the next era they go to adapt after the Richter era will be the Soma Cruz era (since that's what they have expressed an interest in getting to, and it could work as an overarching trilogy that Alucard's character presence connects together), this might mean that Dracula will finally reveal himself to be alive to Alucard in the next Nocturne seasons and perhaps something will force him to reclaim his mantle as master of his castlevania.

The wolf that turned to white and gold that Maria summoned is something akin to Eduardo in my eyes. The "Final Boss" is likely a conceptual being or portrayal/personification of a myth similar to Death like Trevor fought at the end of Season 4. Im pretty sure Maria (and possibly Eduardo) are going to play a key role in dealing with it. From what was shown I think there are three different types of creatures Maria can summon. First from a "Light realm" as we see in season one ("For survival": birds, gentle animals etc.) second and third from a "Dark realm". ("For slaughter": Dragons, wolves, etc.) What seperates the second and third is the creatures will and tone of their summoner. When Maria first opens that dark portal she is murderous and "using" or "controlling" the creatures. Telling them to obey her orders and them turning on her when she is afraid. Maria then opens a light portal and brings out similarly powerful creatures, but with more nurturous and friendly vibes. They are helping one another as even when Maria was controlling the Dragon she still shared its sense of pain. I think even though Eduardo is a night creature from the dark realm, he still retains his individual will and can still remain "good". He could be something akin to a human variant of the golden dragon or white and gold wolf Maria summons from that dark place and turns good.

Bro was Aang (master of elements), Sasuke (Shuriken recall using lightning), Todoroki (fire punch and propulsion), Eren (bodily hardening), Asta (recieves sword, transforms it, and defeats enemy in like 3 seconds), and Trunks (Slashing opp completely in half vertically). I could tell that the animators are big fans of anime before this season, but with Richter doing what he did in this and Alucard being Itachi last episode (how can you hit him when he's only bats bruh), they really nailed the references and easter eggs. There are a lot more I didn't pick up on and some which carry multiple references to other media, but the inspo is def there and appreciated.
