2025-02-06 20:46:44 +0000 UTCwell in this situation im on Julie's side, shes prob talking about when Thomas died Julie's parents prob lost their god dam minds and didn't paid any attention and loved their two kids that are still alive. if I remember correctly she previously stated that she understand that they were hurt because Thomas died but at the end of the day Thomas is gone and Julie and Ethan are still alive why couldn't they be satisfied with just that is what she said to her mom if I remember correctly, at the start of the show we always see the parents asking for Julie to watch Ethan, and it would piss her off, maybe because in the past when Thomas died and while Julie was still very young they had her watch Ethan while they were depressed about what happened to Thomas. The two reasons why Jim prob didn't popped off at Julie was bc she was prob right at the end of the day. Julie isn't an adult, she shouldn't be burdened with the responsibility of watching after Ethan when her two parents are still alive and well, maybe not so much Tabitha bc sometimes she keeps thinking Ethan is Thomas, and especially after they made her go through that already when Thomas died and they neglected their kids. Secondly, Jim actually agreed that going out to look for his wife was prob a dumb idea, hence why Jim and Kenny returned, he himself said that he dk y he is in the woods looking for his wife when she specifically told him to stay with their kids, because if she is dead he is all they have left. they did find food which was good, and the only one who really lost was Kenny its always Kenny who loses lol he didn't even need to go, he just wanted to be a good person yet hey fate had other plans lol.

I think the issue is that she is /always/ being left behind with Ethan and comfort him. It's implied that since Thomas died, she probably never got to be a child again and grieve like the rest of them because she had to take care of Ethan. This is just a response with all her emotions mounting. He's also left his kids multiple times in this show, this time in a vulnerable state of "losing" their mom, so I think viewers (and Julie) are just upset with him. Rather have kids mad then them doing something I don't know about. I personally don't think he should've gone; Tabitha left them because she trusted Jim to be there. Ethan's stubborn but I'm pretty sure he'd listen to his father if he had put his foot down. It's not about him looking for Tabitha, it's about what could've happened. If either of his kids were dead? I still wouldn't blame the kids because maybe that wouldn't have happened if he was there. He'd blame himself. If Jim had died looking for her? His kids would've been devastated and without both parents. And I'm in the minority who likes Jim.

Instead they get sent to this nightmare town with things out to kill them, not to mention almost dying the first day. They have been stressed to the max, except Ethan because he always had the “Kid” point of view as a way out of the madness with his “quests” that’s why they have come off as annoying since day one. The writers did a good job with this show.
