Succession 2x10

Fantastic season finale!

Comments

If I were Logan, even a display of gigantic neon-coloured back spine wouldn't have redeemed Kendall from that rap.

Pater-san

And his indignant response when Shiv offered Tom up! 💯He has a mad range! I don't think he was a big household name after Mr. Darcy and thank god for that. He didn't walk down the cliched British actor path and gifted us Tom.

Pater-san

Man Matthew MacFadyen is just outstanding in the beach scene.

jerry

as she should

iMovie stars

Sadly you guys are too slow for this show to enjoy it in its entirety...

Matias

Idk why some of you guys like to correct them on shit in the comments when they are making judgements based on evidence they have so far Of course we who have watched the entire show know everything that happens. Let them theorise lol. It was the same shit that probably you guys were doing if you were watching the show as it aired. I mean not just this show probably any show ever.

GyX

Sometimes, you gotta pop out and show niggas

Delinda Arts

brooo i hope that in the end either of my boys Tom and Greg take succession of the company! Hell even Gerri. The Roy's are trash zzz

Samoan Thor

Sheera always so wildly off lol

The missing Blizzard breast milk

Logan at the end was smiling because of the fact that Kendall actually tried to metaphorically kill him. This wasn’t a grand, roundabout plan. Logan would’ve been fine if Kendall went through with it but he’s proud of his son for taking a shot at him

Nick Vaughn

Off topic but I just realized Tom was the “TVA” guy in Deadpool x Wolverine lol

CAM

Greg’s line from last season that he told Ken came back to pay off big time. “I know things. It would be wise to keep me around”

stayhiidrated

Bro Sheera was so off at the end there lol. Why tf would Logan want to kill himself in the business sense? It would literally kill the company

blitzman08

Peak Kendall returns

Tbdovan

I'm so glad this is playing out like it is. I'm glad Greg picked this side to be on. I'm all for it. Let's fucking crash out. Also, Please give Tom a W. That relationship cannot be saved.

Tuny kun

Shiv does this really annoying thing where she'll do some fuck shit she knows she's got no business doing. Then get called out on it and play a victim. Look at all shit Shiv's gotten away with over Tom. Not just the infidelity, Like she didn't even what to visit his family in Minnesota for Christmas. But when he's understandably frustrated with her horseshit Shiv started getting pissy-eyed. Like she tries to put the genie back in the bottle or sweep it under the rug. She's got a lot of issues.

Jamaal Ellison

I hope my friends believe in me the way y'all believe in Logan Roy, cause me? My brain will simply not even entertain the thought of him doing something altruistic lol

A. P.

I'm currently at 54:00 and a thought came into my mind. I could be way off base with this but could and would Logan throw his own brother under the bus for this? Greg was the one who signed the documents out and they could try to spin a story where is Grandpa forced him to do it. Just a passing thought I had not sure how it would pan out though.

Shiroja

I love how Stewy isn't the least bit intimidated by Logan. Even last season when Logan wanted to by local TV Stewy was talking to him as if they were equals. He's proven himself to be a way more serious person than any of the siblings.

Jamaal Ellison

you think this season finale is the best episode just wait til the season 3 finale🤭🤫

terrestrialbody

Yes, his argument is wise. But he doesn't believe it. That's my point.

Sixaxis112

Him including shiv with Tom was more of a joke if anything. Especially considering his reaction to Kendall taking the fall. I’m sure he would have had the same reaction if it was her. He literally says it wouldn’t look right to have a senior woman be the fall guy. Yes because of his interest in Gerri but he can’t flat out say it’s because of that. That’s what was wise abt his argument because it’s true

Danielle

Definitely not planned or expected by Logan there at the end. He's proud for sure, but it wasnt some grand scheme

13

S tier writing, the layers in this show are crazy

graves

Logan didn’t know LOL he’s proud but he truly didn’t see that coming

Danielle

He's literally only saying that because of his relationship with Gerri. He would throw her under the bus otherwise. He also suggests Shiv and Tom. Another woman who makes less sense than Gerri.

Sixaxis112

It's literally been years since I've seen this season. The last time I saw it i wasn't into the show. I didn't know how great it was. It's rating has gone up so much more re-watching with fresh eyes.

Jamaal Ellison

I knew it was Kendall because through all of the potential people to be locked up, Kendall was never mentioned once

Nicholas James

they didn’t say roman defended gerri bc she was a woman. they said he was smart to say that making a senior woman take the fall has terrible optics

janelle

logan doesn’t want anything more than he wants to preserve power. not even the competence or wellbeing of his kids.

janelle

Easily my favorite finale of the series, and that's saying a lot because the others are all fucking great too. Punished Kendall with the W.

Carlos

one thing I noticed with this show is ppl give Logan too much credit lol he's smart but not that smart, he didn't know Kendall was gonna pull that BUT he was proud

jiggyj

I didn’t notice it until now that Kendall basically implied that he was going to betray Logan when he kissed him on the cheek (Judas reference).

Moses T24

Lol I can say this I'm sure yall seen season 3 episode 1 already but yall giving logan too much credit 😂😂 the reason he is smiling at the end is because Kendall has some fight in him after all, yeah he is proud but not cuz he planned it that way, that man is an evil Bastard that views his kids as investments

jose giron

Logan didn't know. He had no idea about Greg's salvaged papers. We have had 2 seasons of him clearly not planning much of anything out but he's very, very resourceful and opportunistic.

Aaron Posey

Logan didn't know what Kendall would do. He's just happy because his son turned in a killer and is finally playing his own game.

Aaron Posey

Lupa takes everything at face value and misses a-lot of the nuance behind people's intentions. Logan isn't looking out for Kendall's well being or wanting him to not think about the car crash incident; Logan himself simply pays others no mind and treats the world as if everyone is like him. There's a reason he wanted to bring Kendall along to visit the family. One, was to keep him in check and tug the leash a bit but it also was a lesson in navigating through his world like him. Treat everything and everyone as if they're "nothing."

Aaron Posey

They honestly believe that Roman defended Gerri because she's a woman. He only defended her because of their relationship.

Sixaxis112

Yh ideally it would be Gerri & Bill since they were both complicit in the actual coverups, Tom’s heart was in the right place but since he failed to blow the whistle in season 1 he should be in jail too especially since he ordered the destruction of the documents

Fred_D3

whatever you cooking is burnt buddy

shadowfiend

Logan was always considering Kendall. He knew the shareholders wanted Logan. No other skull would be big enough but Kendall would come close enough to appease the shareholders and the Congress. He basically twisted Shiv's arm to get him to co-sign like Gerri said to Roman earlier in the episode.

Briana J

The dynamics this episode are nothing short of spectacular. The way each member of the company try to vie for their survival, throwing each other under the bus. Demonstrating not only their interest and positions within the company, but also their own personal desires; their own inter-personal feelings among one another. I love a lot of shows but the dialogue in this one is bar none. Each line is filled with such meaning, such purpose, that drives not only the plot forward but each character and their wants.

maui

This, and next seasons finale are contentious for being my favorite finale of not just this series, but any series.

maui

SHOUT OUT TO GREG, my man stay following the bag and making plays. Ken was the only one who knew he had copies and greg is tired of being a scapegoat

Jakohbe White

Logan didn't know Kendall would stray and bleed him. Everything he said during their conversations this episode and throughout the two seasons demonstrate his cold-blooded approach when it came to his company, and by extension, himself. He would absolutely sacrifice his son if it would "make the sun shine another day." The subtle smile at the very end of the episode comes from the fact that, despite it being against his better outcome, his son has demonstrated that he is able, and willing to be " a killer," to do what he has to do to come out on top. He is surprised by Kendall because it is something that he didn't expect. Let the games begin, let the killers come for each others throats.

maui

luckily the next episode is Tomorrow and they will get the right answers

Keenan Taylor

One of the best episodes of the series, btw can I hit you guys for a little hundred mil??

Zees101

Logan def didn’t know lol. Ken hit him just said fuck it lets go yo war. Def wasn’t trying to take the fall. Logan was just proud that Ken actually had the balls.

Mack

Lupa is hilarious because he heard that dumbass shit Connor said and genuinely thought that man was cooking LOL.

Aaron Posey

you get it

maui

the prophecy persist

maui

Kendall symbolically knifed Logan in the stomach in that scene.

Alex

Im saying

xProKnockz

Con wouldn't make any sense as the scapegoat because he has absolutely no role in the company. He just lives off the money that Logan gives him. That's largely true for Shiv as well, even though she was starting to get more directly involved with the family business recently.

DTGstl314

Not Sheera forgetting Connor's name and calling him, "Colin"

Juan

33:33 it’s a crisis but even when it’s not a crisis kendall still does the same thing (for ex, they were going to the zoo when they were in england (ep 6), which logan interrupted to make kendall go to the home of the waiter that died. just to flex that he still had control over him and keep him in this state of wallowing)

janelle

TLDR; To explain the Roy dynamics are tricky, especially Logan with his kids. He’s in constant competition with them, he always wants to “win”—while simultaneously wanting them to be worthy competitors, soldiers, “killers”. He wants them to be capable, but at the end of the day he wants to be the victor. As we’ve seen, he’s a businessman 1st, father 2nd. Maybe 3rd, idk. (Obviously horrible mindset when raising kids, Hence the state of them 💀: their relationships, and their inability to open up to each other like siblings, etc.) So if it’s between him or his kids (in this case Kendall), he’s choosing himself and his business. But again, as a mentor, when Kendall shows the qualities of a “killer” after a season of him walking around like Logan’s humbled dog—he’s proud. IDK it’s convoluted when written out, and a lot more nuanced in reality. BUT that’s best my take on it all. Can’t wait for s3 🏃🏽‍♀️🔥

❥ rina

Logan did NOT personally plan on going to jail—just to clear up some confusion 😭

❥ rina

Gerri is so leng

Kablamoo101

started watching after i saw the succession and from arguments. im so glad i did what a show

Kablamoo101

Roman called Jamie out correctly... he doesn't work for Waystar, he's an outside banker just trying to broker a deal because it would be hugely beneficial for him personally. If the offer was legit and they took it, Laird was going to be paid a 1% commission on the sale - $100,000,000. That's never work again for the rest of your life money. Of course he was going to push for it really hard.

DTGstl314

That's true but Roman was right though it would be bad optics sending a woman to take the fall for women being "graped" and mistreated with cruises even if she was named as a person of interest. If they chose her they would have needed a second person to take the fall with her.

LaTesha

W KEN

Marquist Simms

Thank you. He won’t leave because he’s also using her for access to the top.

Divinerights

I’m super early in the reaction (6:20) but while I love Sheera but she has to stop thinking about how she would handle things if she were Logan. He doesn’t care about his family in the way that she does. He would never take the fall because he is selfish, prideful and most of all he doesn’t believe the company is something children even deserve. He views it as an extension of himself and as we have seen time and time again he lets absolutely *NO ONE* in, at least not fully. He is far more enthralled by the high of his unending “game” than he is handing his legacy down to his children. Not to mention he doesn’t seem to value any of the skill sets his children have because he views the way he made it to his position as an absolute necessity in an heir.

Aaron Posey

next season’s is up there tho

Ron H

literal kiss of death, esp since not once has anyone kissed another family member with that much affection and intent

Ron H

Krashout Kenny back at it

Tha Hoeless one

after 2 whole seasos of succession im surprised anyone could think he wouldnt throw one of them under the bus

Guav

Listen whatever happens to tom is his fault he chooses to stay

xProKnockz

That ending was so badass. I’m so happy Kendall didn’t give in.

Malik

It's kinda adorable that despite all the fuckery Roshi Sheera and Lupa has witnessed from Logan that they're still giving him the benefit of the doubt. He's threatened to throw them to the wolves both seasons. Like when he threatened to expose Shiv's infidelity to the press and let her get cooked if she didn't do what he wanted.

Jamaal Ellison

Logan didn’t know and it isn’t what he wanted. But that being said he can’t help but respect the move and be a little bit proud.

Sissy Six

the moment I became Team Tom

Ron H

🤯 that went completely over my head.

Jamaal Ellison

There's a story about Vince McMahon telling his son Shane that if he really believed in his ideas he needed to be willing to kill his own father to accomplish them. Then Vince put a knife in Shane's hand pressed it to his own chest and begged Shane to kill him.

Jamaal Ellison

He admires Kendall having the cajones to sell out his own father and refuse to take the fall for him, but I can't imagine Logan's very pleased about the shitstorm to come.

DTGstl314

Sheera overcooked a tad bit, Roshi and Lupa had the right read. Logan Roy is an absolute selfish son of a bitch and he'll always put himself first. He literally was sacrificing Kendall, but seeing Kendall betrayal him put a smile on his face because for the first time he respected him and was impressed that Kendall was willing to become a killer and play the the game, something which you have to do for the top job.

AllanJ

Shane and Vince McMahon.

Jamaal Ellison

This was when the show became Game of Thrones.

Jamaal Ellison

Logan didn't know Kendall was going to that but he was proud he became a killer

Kk

Logan didn't know. He's smiling cause he respects it. But Logan does not want to go to jail

Metweet .c

this is only gonna make things worse for logan…no good is gonna come from kendall actions.

anna

I’ve rewatched this episode so many times but I can’t believe I missed the kiss of Judas Kendall gave Logan at 59:37

naa

logan did not know kendall was gonna do that. ‘it has to be you’ was nothing to do with that. he didn’t think kendall was a killer. but still, kendall wanted to prove him wrong, and did. logan was ofc proud!

anna

I've been saying this for years it's eerily similar.

Jamaal Ellison

Of fucking course Shiv offers the suggestion to sacrifice Kendall.

Jamaal Ellison

sheera don’t be sorry logan IS trash😭

anna

Also I’ll be so real, my sympathy for Tom is capped.

Divinerights

Gerri really did make sense as a sacrifice, remember in season 1 Tom acc wanted to go public with the cruise shit & have the company responsibility then gerri came in & told him to put a lid on it loool all the most senior members knew about it including her

Fred_D3

🤣 🤣

HBK 713 🏄🏾‍♂️

I remember this episode 😭 good ass finale lol

HBK 713 🏄🏾‍♂️

“if you’re one of the kids you know your dads not gonna throw you under the bus” well well…😅

anna

Take your stank breath back there

Danger Tomato

I was gonna say we don’t realise how big yachts are these days, but remember wolf of Wall Street?

Divinerights

Finally the Vince comparison lol

VibeWolf

Yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Hasnain Khan

Keep it

Divinerights

This is probably still my favourite finale episode of the show lol it is so entertaining

zaphyre

WE'RE FUCKING UP LET'S GO!!!

Jamaal Ellison

Just here to say FROM is better 🥱…
