He only broke down when he was in the bathroom by himself because he’s trying to keep things elevated for everybody else and then he goes to his time alone and cries so I don’t see anything wrong with the Dad so far seems like there’s been an issue with the mom and that trickle down to Julie and has affected their marriage so until the dad messes up, we’ll see.🤔

My theory is that the whole town is above under that mark. And the only time it activates is when it’s not in the sun, OR behind the Relic the houses have. So the “Monsters” could be some sort of illusion made by the marks. And the things that kill people are something else… Idk where im going with this but that’s all i could think of from that plot point scene. Cus that ish gotta come back somehow

Night-time normally is safe and peaceful, people venture out at night living up their own life or having a good night sleep in a comfy bed. Now proportion of their freedom were taken. People facing inconvenience and turmoil that were absent from normal life. In a sense, the town is sort of an eye-opener that normal things in life has value, regardless of how people utilise it.
