Sheera was really cooking this episode especially with the Oz and Sofia similarity callout and money over everything roshi and lupa cooked too. The scene of Oz watching Sal wife and son burn just confirmed what I already knew he's pure evil except to the people he loves he was enjoying the hell out of them burning. He was also just about to tell his girl about his mother so he actually cares about her and Victor I think but at the end of the day everyone's disposable to him . I kind of want to see what the court of owls in this universe would look like also my guess to where the hell batman is he went and found Selina and he said naw Gotham ain't it or he big chillin with his fellow rich folk looking through the drapes shaking his head.

I don't know how to really describe what it is. It's like seeing a Ford in a movie about dinosaurs or reading a book and seeing the words ticktock even though the book is set in a high-school where kids would use it.. because its still fictional seeing something so real takes me out. Someone responded being petty but things like phones or food don't count. It's about certain things...not everything.

For me, it depends on the setting of the show. Harry Potter is set in a mythical world that by definition, isn't realistic. So, seeing Starbucks would be off-putting. Gotham is literally in New Jersey. I live in New York. I could take the train and get there in a little over an hour. So, when I see real world items like smart phones, Instagram, and TikTok, it actually makes the place more realistic, which is a good thing because that's the point.

Yes and I have a theory about that. In the comics, The Penguin somewhat becomes an informant for Batman. Batman realizes crime will never go away so instead he lets Penguin do his thing as long as he doesn't cause chaos and feeds him information about other crimes going on. Batman rather deal with Penguin and his crime syndicate than deal with a chaotic gang war.

I hope so too. I'm really not sure what's going to end up happening to this universe now because of the DCU. This show is supposed to lead DIRECTLY into The Batman Part 2, and it's been confirmed that they're going to make a Part 3. I'd prefer if they just said that this is in the past of the new DCU and whoever they cast to play Gunn's Batman is just an older version since we know that he's going to be older anyways. Otherwise all the great world building they're doing will be packed away after just one trilogy and a show.

THIS SHOW IS SO PEAK. I really love how they're basically showing Gotham's shift from organized crime to supervillains and "freaks" in this universe so naturally. Very reminiscent of The Long Halloween comic. Also, I said it before, but I love Oz being a villain. He's compelling and has strong motivations, but at the end of the day he's a dirty gangster in a dirty city and he's a twisted bad guy. This is a villain show and he's the villain. A really sick detail I picked up on was that last episode Penguin was giving the big speech about how Vic should not let anyone interrupt him while he's speaking, but at the end of the last episode and in this one he interrupts Vic several times while he's stuttering. It just shows that although Oz thinks he has a moral compass and thinks he's just doing what he needs to do, he'll throw all his ideals out the window in order to save his ass when he's stressed and shit hits the fan. I think by the end of the show, either Eve, his mom, or both will die. Also they mentioned Rex Calabrese again...it makes me wonder if it's gonna be revealed that he's still alive. In the comics he was retconned to be related to an important character. Maroni being married to Nadia and having his Italian mob replaced with Iranian members is also really interesting.
