D.P. Ep 4

my favorite episode yet

Comments

boohoo ig?

Starcandy

Why is your pussy so hurt by my opinion of a show you had no part in making. Secondly I was mostly replying to comments.

Jamaal Ellison

bro every episode you're in the comments bitching about how you don't like things in the show... you know you aren't being forced to watch the reaction right?

The Uprising

The show is about arresting tortured solders who've gone AWOL. Sometimes the show has marvel like humor. 🀷

Jamaal Ellison

watching this episode and saying that is crazy

syub

His humor.

Jamaal Ellison

u didn't like Han what? the man who actually does his job lol.

Sham Sham

I like the main character just fine. But his partner just isn't my cup of tea.

Jamaal Ellison

35:30 What's actually fun about this scene is how powerful the Monty Hall Paradox is when you apply it to real life situations. It's a strong tool in game theory, statistics, and metaphysics. To activate it in real life you need to force yourself into a 1:3 ratio situation. Then force the matter a bit to eliminate a "wrong door". Then you can turn your real life success rate into 66.67% every time, which in real life means you'd be rolling in majority success. The easy formula is pick an outcome, find out which of the other two outcomes don't make sense, then immediately change your outcome to the unrevealed outcome. That unrevealed outcome is 66.67% favorable, as opposed to the 66.67% "likely to fail" chosen initially.

Check out the KDrama While You Were Sleeping. Bum Suck is a military deserter in that KDrama and does even more crappy stuff (In fact, the crap he pulls is what sets the story and supernatural elements in motion. Ahn Joon-ho's actor is also in that drama and is also a police officer). In a funny way, Bum Suck managed to kill the dad from a Kdrama called Twinkling Watermelon twice, across multiple KDramas. Yes, Bum does Suck!

J Man

So Bum sucks in every universe?!

Jamaal Ellison

just now caught that he was doing all that rappelling for the cash for his grandma as well

Rosie

D.P came first

Haaa?

I may be stating the obvious, but these K-Dramas are so well color graded. So much color in each scene and great lighting in the dark scenes. There's not that GOT darkness lmao

Delinda Arts

The backstories for squid games had some slumish sets but yea they definitely don’t show much of lower income areas in k drama I’d guess it’d be for covering them up somewhat making Korea look nicer

Alan

I wonder if Roshi ever watched Parasite. Don't know if he'd enjoy it or anything, honestly it was hard for me to follow along with, but yeah.

The Zany Spirit

Yall gotta watch Ranma

Sunshine Hall

Im pretty sure this came first

Dyastro

Every episode is good

Kd

Yes!

Kd

Brother they dropped Dungeon meshi after 2 episodes and only picked it back up cus they dropped kther shows. You think they're gonna be able to get thru early monster episodes?

Ougi

Nah fr cause whoever was in charge of this casting must've feel in love with Weak Heroe's cast lmao

Sham3ful

That sexual abuse among other bullying is crazy. Understandable bc Korean society has such a strict formal hierarchy. But stuff like that’s not even unheard of here in the West. Abuse of power, manipulating the weak and timid.

K.

Day 2 asking to watch Monster

Kd

is EVERYONE from weak hero in this show? 😭

envy

The big bully is the same actor as the big drug dealer from Weak Hero Class 1. The one who was honorable

J Man

Another fun part about the Monty Hall game is you can easily do it in real life with cards. You'll definitely make bank and it only takes 3 minutes at most to do

J Man

Petition for Roshi and the gang to start watching From

ThelivingJim

That was Jung Hae-in's first big and main role, where he made a huge splash combining his ability to be charming with being serious and action-oriented. It's that drama why I call him "Batman"

J Man

As someone who had their mom pass away early from dementia, this episode always hits me so hard

Kyle Llewellyn

That's actually what happened in the South Korean military in the 2010s.AND You two enjoyed Korean dramas, so I'm always enjoying them

원 지

That Monty Hall trick is a real statistical study. It was based off Let's Make a Deal. The science is that if you pick one of three cards randomly you have a 1/3 chance of being wrong. If Hall eliminates a wrong one, and that your finger is sitting on a 2/3rd wrong chance, switching will mean you're 2/3rd's right. People are always reluctant to switch, so you can scam a lot of people because you have 2/3 chance all the time while everyone is betting on 1/3 every single time.

J Man

I love actor reunions like this

Darling~

Whaa it’s been a while since I heard that nameβ€”I completely forgot that that was a thing. Forgot I was a day one ☝️

Darling~

What's funny is that one of the first roles of Bum Suck's actor is as a Military Deserter where he's one of the central parts of the plot. Jun Ho's actor is also the police protagonist in that one too. It's the 2017 supernatural drama While You Were Sleeping

J Man

Bumseok from Weak Hero is the bully who made Cho Suk Bong jerk it lol

Darling~

The dude in the beginning is the same one who was bullying the juniors. Its a cycle of hatred where the juniors get bullied and then become seniors and take out their anger on the new juniors. Shits sad.

Prxj3ct

Thx!

Dyastro

Those poor places are pretty common, its just another case of the government trying to cover it up (lol watch more kdramas)(also you've seen them in some dramas, like the glory)

Dyastro
