Like, I know he killed it last season, and he’s iconic as Nishinoya from Haikyuu and especially deserves praise for his performance as Bakugo in MHA, but the one that really drives his skill home is how different he sounds as Himmel in Frieren. Like, genuinely has to be a different person entirely, yet it’s somehow not. Very talented VA and he handled a really emotional scene wonderfully. My homie Gorgeous Tiger is really going through it this season. Got PTSD, got his identity/pride out in check, and then all his past familial trauma ripped open after finding his amnesiac moms. 😔 Yeah, this season has been straight gas so far. Glad to be out of the confines of the sanctuary/mansion from last season, and the pacing is really bookin’ it, what with FOUR Archbishops showing up. That’s insane. Sloth was dangerous enough by himself, but with such a stacked group of allies nearby, I didn’t think there would be much tension this season. Boy, was I wrong. This shit looks awful for Subaru.

And pretty much none of that seems to be making it into the show. Every time he loops, he starts thinking about how to approach each problem that's come up in previous loops, and who to connect with that might help. So he's got plans, he's just out of his depth fighting against four whole ass Archbishops this arc. Shit's wild. It's the most hopeless it's felt thus far. Also random thing they don't show for some reason, the little brother is calling Garf Gorgeous Tiger because that's how he introduced himself to them so as not to give himself away to his mom.

Everyone should know his personality by now but, he's a softy. All of the times he's killed people in subaru's failed timelines, Garf has always gone in his beast form and let it take control over him because he couldnt do it otherwise. So him killing elsa repeatedly was alot for him. That's why he's having all those hallucinations. On top of all that, he's finally out in the world free from the sanctuary where he's always been considered the strongest so the reinhard encounter had him feeling some type of way. Finally, finding his mother alive and learning of her memory loss. Garf is one of my fav characters tbh. cant wait for the rest of the season

Despite the fact AL being from our world hasn't had any direct impact nor any relevance in the story so far and only reason they cut that out in Season 1 is because in 2016, Season 1 was meant to be the only Season! So it's not needed and people who just trying to go around all anime only's and comment sections on Patreon and twitter and youtube comments without giving like actually cut content type of spoilers before reading it are just as obnoxious in my eyes.

2024-10-17 01:00:34 +0000 UTCmy theory is that Tappei (the author) is going to change how Al is introduced in the story. in the light novel, subaru knowing Al comes from japan never really matters in the middle arcs. not to mention his introduction was kinda out of nowhere and had nothing to do with the arc at the time. considering how important to the story Al becomes, chances are the author is using the likely (at the time) rash decision to leave out Al's introduction as a way of making his character more engaging and memorable later on.

And waiting to bring it up could recontextualize some of their interactions from earlier seasons, which would make for an interesting rewatch. Gives you that "aha, I knew Al felt different" type of moment. Thats why i've never been a fan of telling anime watchers about details from the LN if they're not integral, even if they should have already been revealed. I prefer to just let the show cook, and if there's a detail left out that would cause confusion, then clarify.

Not everything from the light novels will be adapted, but I feel like certain information that was skipped could be brought up later. It's not unheard of for anime adaptations to rearrange things due to time constraints. Maybe the director thought that wasn't relevant enough to the immediate story, so if something had to be cut, they might as well cut a plot point that can be added to the anime later. As much as I want to join the comments section to discuss the show I love with other people who love it, every channel that watches Re:Zero has comments sharing information from the light novels that I'm trying to avoid. Nobody has bad intentions when they share their fun facts, so it's not like I have the right to criticize people, but it certainly makes things difficult when you're trying to stay "spoiler" free. I'm using quotes because whether or not it's a spoiler is subjective and kinda depends on future episodes. If the anime mentions this later, I think it was a spoiler. If the anime doesn't mention this later, then it WASN'T a spoiler. Kind of a weird situation.

But then through the trials he saw that she was actually planning on finding his father. But then he found out she got caught in a landslide. But he thought she died. So really, this just ruined Garf’s closure. Now that trauma is back open.

I don't remember the specifics, but days are divided into four time periods, each represented by a different colour. So the stones turning red signified that it was a certain time of day, presumably the time when the Gospels had directed the archbishops to start their attack on the city, hence why they both started to leave at that time. Everything up until now, funnily (and horrifyingly) enough, was just them doing shit in their free time before they had to start whatever the Gospels told them to do.
