I hear you & accept your opinion and I can even understand the frustration but for me personally the animation is second to a good story but that’s just me I’m not trying to make anyone see it my way I just personally don’t understand it the same I’ll still play a game I like even if the frames or graphics ain’t crisp

That and the lack of animation just make it less enjoyable to me personally. S1 had more wide shots that made it easier to understand. And its crazy not to expect good animation from a SPORTS ANIME if you dont care about animation thats fine but i do because its anime not a manga. If i wanted to watch pictures move id do it better in my head. This show has amazing style, art, music, etc. but you can't excuse the slideshow ass animation.

If you like a show, why would you settle for "at least it got animated" especially for a series with action sequences like Blue Lock or any sort of fighting anime? Trying to call ToG animation fantastic is such cope because they're disrespecting that series SO hard, especially when S1 was fine lol. Some flags for that are when they basically just take the manga and colour it while doing the bare bones for animation, instead of thinking how it can be best adapted for the animation medium. Also, I hate the dialogue and terrible nicknames they give each other lmao. I don't think it's come up yet this season but last season it was killing me 😭. 2024-10-15 08:33:00 +0000 UTCThe blue lock anime/manga has a problem where they tell u literally EVERY movement that occurs on the field w/o letting the action breathe It’s fine in the manga because it’s not as prevalent since u can just read and move on w/ pics HOWEVER in anime-form (especially a sports anime) it’s extremely noticeable because there needs to be a large amount of still shots so the dialogue can catch up to the action I don’t need characters (mainly Isagi) telling me word for word every step that takes place. I have eyes, I can see what’s going on. It also doesn’t give much breathing room for animators. In my opinion, it would be best if they could possibly cut out some dialogue, but dialogue in bllk is kinda important at times so it’s hard to figure out what to take out & keep in It takes time to discuss w/ the mangaka but considering this production was rushed, since they did an entire movie in between S1 & 2 (For no reason other than a $$$ grab) I doubt they would’ve had time to cut dialogue effectively Sure the production could be MUCH better, but I can’t help but feel for the production team due to the abundance of dialogue making it so much more difficult, the time constraints placed on them, & the high expectations from fans

Unless it’s a straight up lie, we can at least hope it’s true since they had more time and the season will be much shorter. However a lot goes on behind the scenes so we’ll just have to wait and see. Will be a shame if they waste one of the best arcs in the best selling manga of last year.

As Roshi pointed out in the discussion, most of the episode is still drawings with tons of effects to make you think stuff is moving on the screen, which it is not. The only movement we get is the effects, the CGI soccer ball, and every now and then a character will actually move, but it's either a drawing dragged across the screen or a tiny snippet of a CGI model of the character at a more odd angle than the usual character drawings. The animation is not good, it is basically currently nonexistent. You can love the art and drawings, but don't say it has good animation.

The bad thing is that we barely have any movements but I do hope when we get to the main match it's gonna look better.. they can use stills but try to use less if they can maybe? lol

Like the animation in its self was still nice and clean, but the motions/movements were weird. That’s insane because the motions/movements were fine last episode. The episode was still good though. Hella entertaining.

Again that’s just my opinion because I feel like the quality of the animation is just as important for a sports anime as it is for a battle series.
