I'm not a manga reader but I like that they're just using all the crazy mystical and reincarnation aspects as a means to an end; to tell a story about the Japanese entertainment industry and also parenthood. I'd honestly be totally fine If by the end of the series they only give a brief explanation for all the mystical elements or even none at all. It's like how the titans came about in AOT or how zombies came about in zombie movies, it's not really the point so anything passable is good enough.
