I don't want to come off as a dick for saying this, but can you please at least try to remember some of these moments as they're important to the plot in the future, which I really don't want to spoil. I having somewhat of a doubt about your memory skill as you seem to joke and complain about them eating monsters when the reason why they're doing this all the way in the beginning episode is cuz they're broke as shit, which is something we in the comments been telling you which you seem to all forgot. I know it’s hard to remember all of this stuff when you are reacting to different genres of movies and TV shows and probably don't have enough time to quickly rewatch the last episode, but can you at least read some of the comments to try to get the context of what's happening, please.

Ya know, you mentioning that makes me feel the Lunatic Mage might have been under the same situation, having no elf friends and everyone dying around them and Delga must've been the last straw that drove them to madness. Senshi coochie shots got me actin' up. I swear this and Golden Kamuy are the only anime I know where they'll do a sexualized man gag that I've seen. Obligatory: Izutsumi. The paintings in the background are anime-original. They depict scenes from Marcille's childhood (including the death of her father, which she mentions later on). The old man in the paintings is not Laios. Part of the benefits of adapting a completed manga is that Trigger gets to add in little bits of foreshadowing and supplementary content peppered throughout the series. There's a lot of imagery throughout the season that people most likely won't see or understand without a rewatch. Also poor, poor little Italian elf. I love that Laios' one-track mind meant fixating really hard to figure out what type of monster Marcille had dreamed up--not even realising at first that it could be symbolic. Meanwhile, of course Marcille wouldn't be having nightmares about a literal monster because she just doesn't have the same perspective or knowledge about them. A nightmare about *eating* monsters would have been more plausible than a nightmare about running from a literal monster lol.
