When Laios entered the painting that episode, he basically time traveled to those important time points. Coincidentally, the dark skin elf saw him all 3 times he time traveled which caused the present-day lunatic elf to remember him because his historic memory got altered with Laios being part of those historic points in time. Funny enough, Laios was just there to fuckin' eat, but the dark skin elf got pissed and paranoid thinking Laios was a spy. lol
