We created events, work with teachers to get sponsors, did debates about what we should do with our budget. Being on it looked good for college applications and jobs. So whenever I see people saying it’s different I kinda laugh.

I don't know how schools work, but maybe all of them are required to have student councils, or something similar to one. I never saw or heard of any debates, but I do know that when I was walking up for graduation, both candidates for valedictorian were next to me. One in front of me, one behind me, due to our last names. But that was the first time I even knew who our valedictorians were, hell I found out what a valedictorian even WAS because they talked about it to me since I was smack dab in the middle of them. Meaning I literally didn't know what that meant until graduation day, told to me by our valedictorians themselves. American students really don't give a shit xD

2024-08-23 02:30:19 +0000 UTCyo facts. makeine was really not on anyones radar but now it appeared, its really really good. Yuki really carries the majority of this show. Her complete lunacy and otaku is really vibes. the rest of it kinda just feels like any other romcom. Meanwhile, pretty much all the characters in Makeine feels really unique and entertaining. Their banters balance really well with the mc whos basically the straight man who gets caught up with their goofiness. The problem with this mc he feels a little too perfect and generic. Hes the typical "laid back but actually really smart mc that operates in the shadows cuz he doesnt want the spotlight". Basically Ayanokouji if the dude had human emotions. I will say Kuze is a little better than the typical trope as he had his entertaining moments but as the show goes on, it just becomes bland. The whole "election" plot isnt all that engaging after all, how many ppl actually cared about their student council elections in HS. Yukis moments are really the best highlights of the show. unpredictable, chaotic and just living the life.
