Maybe being 'called out' has a negative connotation to it, but being called out just means being mentioned for your words or actions, en masse or singularly. I'm gradually transitioning to leaving behind positive comments and not saying negative things without positive things sprinkled within. like sheera said it would be too much to introduce a whole language system a whole new magic system. imagine to fully explain that they would need a whole season to explain shit and people would be "WHAT IS WITH ALL THIS INFO DUMP" we want action. by using cliches they save time for the animation, and they assume the people watching it have some understanding they know about anime words. we are following will's path to the top so we dont need to know about the magic system. also the magic tools we would also need 1 or two eps for those and if they just said how it works vaguely, people would hsaming it for being lazy and what not. by using cliches we have seen in other media we know what are magic tools and as basic info need for them to work. not need to stop half way the ep to do flashbacks and info dump for the audience on what are magic tools, no need to waste money on things like that
