It's crazy because if Nai didn't try to end humanity by crashing their ships, they wouldn't have been misusing the plants like hell when the survivors started using them. Sure there are still some issues before then, however, the mass misuse and treatment of PLANTS on this planet is because of Nai trying to commit genocide.

Can't really come to terms with humanity abusing you when your older brother is around the corner with the "maybe if you stop being you all this evil shit stops happening"

He is just Knives in all other media) Stampede Knives is such a weird direction to take Knives as a character. I personally think he is a lot less sympathetic here than in the manga, or even in the og anime. In Stampede, Knives is already "othered" compared to Vash. Vash is shown to be more "human", and Knives is not. He's distant, cold, methodical. In the manga, they did an interesting take. Prior to learning about Tesla, VASH was the one who was more cold, while Knives was emotional. At various points, Knives claims he wants to befriend humans and live side by side with them. Vash kinda stands to the side and just agrees to support Knives. When they find Tesla, it's odd. They see her standing in the distance, and chase after her only for her to disappear. They think she's a human who woke up, so they investigate the ship files, and come across her file. They read ALL the research and experiments done on Tesla, including gruesome photographs, before her still living corpse is revealed. This is the event that changes the twins. Vash tries to kill himself, then Rem, before having a breakdown and listening to Rem's story. He recovers from his suicide attempt, and is a lot more emotional and soft. Meanwhile, Knives wakes up, is told what happened (in a more clinical, distant manner), and then fakes being ok, before silently having his own mental breakdown alone. The choice to completely change Knives' backstory to be more "clearly the evil one" (and also have Vash forcibly impregnate other Plants????) is such a WEIRD direction to do and it's one of the main reasons I am not the biggest fan of Stampede. So excited for tomorrows episode! I wonder if you guys would ever be interested in watching the 98 anime? esp since it has its own ending and plot differences.
