they skipping lot of conversations for budget time restraints. This series is DOA the later chapters were so bad it killed any hype or interest which is why it fell off the planet for years. The studio handling this is tiny AF and basically doing this because they are fans.

The main problem for me is the music choice is awful and doesnt fit it when I was reading the manhwa. It doesnt even fit the first season. The sound engineering is mediocre. Everybody knows OSTs are a huge factor in immersing for anime and their music choice always makes me go "wait wtf is this?" and I miss dialogue and have to rewind lol It feels like they dont care about the project or they are budgeting terribly with the limited money they already have. With the amount of animation cuts they have (still shots, wide angle shots with no movements just panning the screen, no mouth and more) where did the money go? Did they use all the animation cuts to pay for the kpop group to sing the OP? They are making horribly choices in my opinion when it comes to TOG. They're using looney toons music bro...

The animation isn't the problem for me because I watched Fire Force and Black Clover. I dont like the OP at all. There's not a single part I'd replay and maybe that should've been a sign that the ost wasnt going to hit for me. I feel like there might not be passion behind this? i dont know something is off and the pacing. I could forgive the pacing a bit because I read way ahead. The music isn't drawing me in either. I'm still going to watch because I love the manhwa way too much but damn do they need to make a gofundme?? and find a new sound engineer and maybe passionate employees if they arent passionate idk? Irregulars are more dangerous because (probably among other reasons) the tower has specifically granted them entrance, opposed to people already being born inside not needed to be vetted.

Rachel is also an irregular, but more of a fake irregular since she didn't open the door herself but entered when Baam opened it for her, and after for himself. (only one person can enter at a time and Rachel was closer.

Not really spoiling stuff, just to point out things the anime just flew over, and I like to think it's better for the enjoyment of the show. There are more than 100,000 regulars who have reached the top of the tower, we know them as Rankers. Among them, some are given a rank by the Zahard empire, we call them High Rankers. There are about 1000 of them out of the 100k, their rank is determined by influence, fighting power, accomplished feats and recency bias among other things. As the rank is given by the empire, it tends to be biased towards members of said empire, like family members, military officers etc... Even though Rankers are powerful, High Rankers are to Regulars what we humans are to ants, that's the kind of scale we are talking about. Bam's master we saw this episode is one of them, Yuri from last season is an other example and of course Mazino, whose ranking, based mostly on fighting power, is up there and I mean REALLY REALLY REALLY up there.

Season 2 just feels like a low budget regular anime. I like the idea that the art style changes/ improves from season to season similar to how the got better as the webtoon went on. I really hope this season does well and it continues, cause Tower of God has the potential to be a long running One Piece level show, if given the chance, the budget, and the love.
