Oshi No Ko 2x6

they didnt have to go this hard this episode

Comments

I wonder if this is what goes through RDJ’s head when he plays Iron Man😂

General Grevious

Woo I'm gonna make a name for mahself 'ere

Alexander Szabo

He put real effort into that and to even do it with a eyepatch

JotaroDrake

The stars and then blood drop part reminded me of a Winx Club first-time form transformation

Tirzah

This really elevated Melt’s character for me beyond what I thought of him from reading this scene in the manga. I’m super excited for Aqua’s upcoming scenes, they were my favorite part of the story for a long time.

BZD

The deadpool reference killed me

Zoe

Exactly. I was just thinking earlier that is a double-edged sword being the studio who has to make this anime. On one hand it's popular and so it's going to do very well especially if you animated with care, on the other hand it puts everyone on blast so if you don't ball out they know to look at you.

Re_Slayer

They definitely have strong feelings about this show, but I find the thought that they kinda have to put their whole foot into this one hilarious. Between the manga’s popularity, the mangaka’s pull, and the fact that the story is putting the whole industry on blast, if they don’t put their A-game into it, their names would be Mudd. They’d never live it down.

Coatl45

For that one minute, he burned bright as the sun. Can’t wait to see where he goes from here.

Coatl45

I think Gintama is a bit too comedic to be any kind of punk. I mean, steampunk, cyberpunk. They’ve usually got a grungy and rock vibe to them, right?

Coatl45

And she would’ve been 15, as she was third year middle school. Although kids that young doing that in the first place is wild.

Coatl45

Not that it makes much difference, but wouldn't he have been more like 12-13 since first year middle school is 7th grade?

Jake Rosendahl

I didn't think they would fit that into the episode maybe a later one but no when it mattered most to his character, they really put it in there just like that. Melt is my boy and they seriously went in for him. This episode was beyond hype seeing this come to life in the anime. I lost my voice from the hype XD

Austin Ernst

"I know who I am! I'm a dude playing the dude, disguised as another dude!"

Michael Smith

“Growth” and “breakthrough” were the words I loved hearing from my acting coach any time I worked on a piece in class—all the hard work during at-home rehearsal, everything I brought with me that day, the choices I made in the moment during the performance, it all culminated and helped me level up. I don’t remember the purple-haired guy’s name but it was cool he got his own episode, basically. I totally loved when he finally “got it”—it’s something I love seeing irl, when I witness a fellow actor, and myself, get a handle on a character they’ve been working on, you see how it just elevates everything about their performance, it’s more truthful, believable, it moves the audience. They depict the “I get it” moment and the results of it so beautifully in this show 😭

Clinton the Bingethinker

Absolutely. It's a dry-ass season though

fili0938

roshi's jokes are popping today

Daniel Turner

Holy hell they went all out on this.

HollowedSlayer

Peak

Marlen Mendez

This is beyond my wildest expectations. I thought a year of production or less in between seasons - even if it is just 11 episodes again (I’m assuming?) - might not be enough time to really pour their all into this arc, but I’ve been proven so wrong with each new episode. Season 2 is literally just as peak as season one. In fact, I’d argue it might be better, and that’s insane to think about. If they went this hard for Melt, who’s admittedly a fan favorite but a side character nonetheless, who knows how hard they’re gonna go for Aqua and Akane. I can’t wait. Also, they really just blindsided everyone with that upperyear girl taking Melt out for his first ride at eleven(?).

Champion Bescos

I had the same reaction as Lupa with that Roshi Gambit quote 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Lsg_Lani

moments like that is sooo HUGE for actors. Need this to happen for me too 🙏🏾

speedy

I’m a dude playing a dude disguise as another dude. 😂

Frederick

I love the titles cause we see them and think why is it called that? but by the end of the ep we see the title card and say ahh so that is why it's called "such and such" for this growth is the best name

DANIEL PEREZ

some voice actors have to act like actors acting like stage actors and some voice actors have to act as actors acticing who are acting as stage actors though that character only does live acting

Gary

Most of the others, I'll give you. Cuba really improved. The Rock? With his 'I can't lose' contract? Not it.

Kyle

The animation was so fire i almost forgot he casually just said he was taken advantage of

Chippsfinity

Is that not gintama? Haha

Rodeez

This was done for a, for the most part, side character. What they gonna do for our main character 😭

Eric Diaz

ooooo imabouttamakeanameformyselfhere

Trey Reed

Hooo imabouttamakeanameformyselfere

Ginger Dwarf

icyyywifey

oooooimaboutamakeanameformyself

Liam Gilbert

Yoooo Lupa got the hook up calling out Failure Frame! It's one of my fav animes this season! 🤗

Daisuke_Takahiro

Melt becoming "a child of the star" for one moment. This was the best way to show it.

Huemon Nottabear

They ABSOLUTELY Popped off!!!!

godUsoland

I gotta be honest the "creative" stuff at the end took me out of it but everything else was fire. The sword thing was something he practiced in secret and they show a glimpse of that when they zoom in on all the swords and his sword looks used af.

BornUnMotivated

woooimbouttamakeanameformyselfhere

Hamshank

The acting and production really carried that play because the story was ass.

Argo2Unitard

I'd say this and elusive samurai are the top 2 animation wise and I can't even pick which one I think is better

King of New York

This is hands down the best animated show this season easily, shit felt like 10 mins immersion is real

Fizzy

Lupa is so randomly funny. "They bouta believe this nigga bro"

King of New York

See what happens when a studio cares about their work? Peak shit like this.

Re_Slayer

Yes Roshi, they did have to go off this hard

wavyesper

next episode finna go CRAZY if this is what they did for this scene. im so fuckin excited to see what they do animation wise

Jazmyne Mattucci

Not Lupa mentioning Failure Frame at the end 💀

Riri

Yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Hasnain Khan

next couple episodes animate the peak of this manga imo

awwtysm

The visualization of Melt's Growth is *chef's kiss* PEAKKKK

Amir Shipp

Actors acting like actors acting, first thing that comes to my mind is Tropic Thunder

Devin B

This fucking episode man. Left me at a loss for words. Such a good show. During the play they used the effects the director stated in earlier episodes like moving the audience seats in rotation while the actors are walking to show a sense of time passing by. The stuff with the sword I'm pretty sure Melt didn't ad lib, I think it was the exact opposite. He knew he couldn't impress everyone with his acting so he just practiced that one sword move from the manga to amaze the audience when their expectations were low. Ngl they made me wanna watch this play irl. Wouldn't be surprised if Japan actually made a real life play of this as promotional material the same way that The Boys has that Vought youtube channel.

King of New York

Oshi no ko has so much loved poured into it I can feel it in every frame I love this show !!!

LStunzz

Next episode will be just as Peak too seeing how hard they went for this one, I can't wait for it
