I think Nanno want Mew to live this lie her whole life, and carry the burden of it (She spill the truth really fast to her friend, Pui, showing how she can’t endure the burden of being a fraud but now she will have to lie for the rest of her life because it was live-streamed)

I think there's multiple because not only is she a demon or something, but in episode 2 we literally saw two Nanno's in the same camera shot when they were burying her.

2024-08-02 19:59:37 +0000 UTCnanno's karma doesn't always turn out in the grandiose, dramatic way she clearly enjoys. in this case, mew went REALLY far to keep appearances and, even though it all came back to bite her in the ass, the director of the school protected her as a way to protect the school itself. nanno's crazy laugh always represents her enjoyment of seeing other people get their karma that's why she laughed in the bathroom stall but then looked displeased in the auditorium lol

She offers these people 'help' and puts them in certain positions, but ultimately these people make their own choices. And at some point it is time to collect/pay your dues. I think Nanno is kind of like karma. I feel like these people get plenty of opportunities to opt out. If they would have just been honest with themselves, it would not get so out of hand. Remember when Mew asked Nanno what happens if she gets caught? Nanno says that she will not be called a genius. And that is actually not the worst thing in the world if you are okay with not being their definition of 'genius'. But she could not accept it. Which is understandable, definitely at that age and in that environment where anything other that genius is basically seen as worthless and losing face is a no-go. Perhaps this episode is a social commentary on school pressure, high expectations. Never lived in Thailand, but I'm going to assume that these kind of things are very important in their culture. Similar to other Asian countries. To anyone who knows more about it, correct me if I'm wrong. It was indeed weird that everyone agreed that Mew's drawing looked exactly like the original. I interpreted in two ways: 1. The school and everyone is so absorbed in/obsessed with genius status and the school being number one, that they choose to believe as long as it benefits them and prevents them losing face 2. Nanno used her mojo and now everyone sees Mew a genius regardless, but Mew has to live with the fact that she is a fraud and always will live under the pressure to perform and not being caught => in the end she is wished a happy life, but I think that will be quite difficult to have now.
