He didn’t say that if his relationship with Claire collapsed it would be her fault he said it would be HIS fault because he feels he messes up everything he gets close to. None of that situation was any of Richard or anybody’s business to get involve with in the first place besides Carmy & Claire. And no, Sheera, Carmy would be justified in getting upset about the job offer if he hears it from the other dude and not Sydney because he still views Sydney as his partner; the same way how Sydney is justified in being upset with Carmy because even though he views her as his partner, she doesn’t feel as though she is. It’s two separate situations where both parties are not communicating with one another.

It's also kind of hard here because they all know eachother like family. Even though the Ever guy is offering her 80k, he's building up from scratch with little to no reputation behind him compared to Carmy. In regards to creative control though Syd leaving might be better but hopefully Carmy allows her to be an actual partner in The Bear.

There’s a recurring pattern of Syd’s impatience coming back and biting them in the ass since Season 1 (hell even her talking about how she ruined her attempted catering business as well) like w/ the risotto/to-go orders/promising a Michelin star in the 1st year that Carmy has either taken the bullet for or conceded despite his better judgment for her sake. He’s been having moments like that since they found out they got reviewed. And those articles crediting only Carmy with The Bear are what Sydney THINKS the review may say, especially since she doesn’t feel like Camry’s partner in the restaurant. Also, you guys didn’t notice the guy from Ever is offering Syd more money than Carmy is.

What Carmy is dealing with is more of a personal issue that is indirectly affecting his work but Syd keeping the fact that she has an offer and is considering jumping ships would affect the business because then they would have to find someone new to cover her spot last minute as opposed to her telling them asap so they can adjust early on
