I'm not against the vending machine idea. It's no different than getting it from a nurse. When I went to Job Corp, having sex was against the rules but they provided condoms at the infirmary for anyone that wanted them. The sex is going to happen. Either the boy, or girl, is going to bring a condom with them or they're going to go without one. With the vending machine, at least they are being safe.

If you don't fall for it she won't bother with you, however if you do the consequences are dire. I though like to think of her as a representation of karma. People have multiple chances to pick different decisions. While I don't like the fact that the mom and daughter died, it does represent how the real world works. People make decisions (especially people with power or people who have authority) and sometimes the wrong decisions are made. Innocent people tend to unintentionally or intentionally suffer the consequences and deal with the blowback. Even if they were not involved.

I think with everything that happens people sometimes forget the beginning conversation with the teachers. The one teacher actually tried to advocate for the students and make them aware of safe sex practices and the other teachers are all horrified like she is a monster. Meanwhile the principle and other male teachers are assaulting the students and talking about how their school is the "purest". Highest level of hypocrisy. Is it a shame for the wife and daughter? Yes, but Nanno gave him chances multiple times and he was still threatening her. And their lives would have been pretty hellish after anyway with his stigma attached to them as he going to prison for being a r++++t. I agree that they will have sex regardless, I even agree that free and/or easy access to condoms/protection should be available (I think the pro of kids not getting pregnant/STDs outweighs the con). That's not common sense it's actually a very backwards mindset that does lead to more teen pregnancies and std's. The teacher on the show said that the vending machines would come with better sex education which does happen with schools that have the vending machines. It's naive to think that the not having the machines doesn't give teenagers the desire to have sex. They WILL have sex, they're literally influenced by each other and social media which is why it's up to schools and parents to be open about sex and not treat it like a scary boogeyman and teach about access to things like condoms, which are way more safer than birth control pills.

I don't have statistics for this, but common sense would say easy access to condoms would absolutely be something that would incentivize kids to have sex (even if only slightly) assuming they are educated on safe sex. If they know the possible consequences of unprotected sex and don't have easy access to condoms/protection, then they would definitely be less willing (obviously some or even most might still do it) to have sex because their only option might be unprotected and they would know the possible consequences (thus would be less willing to take the risk).

High schools in the US have been dispensing condoms for at least over a decade, really absurd response by you this time. Students get them from nurses offices. Dispensers make it more likely that they will seek them out. The condom vending machine is not crazy lol its actually better to have teenagers be knowledgeable about safe sex and not be awkward about buying stuff like condoms. Plus condom vending machines are not going to incentives kids to have sex. It helps prevent spread of STDs and unwanted pregnancies.
