I finally feel comfortable commenting on these videos now that I’m on Season 6 and not…1, lmao. Anyway, insane to me that they’re just casually calling these kids “Kwon” and “Yoon” as if there aren’t at least three other people with either of those last names in the same class. 💀 I get that they’re American-izing the script and all, but it’s just hilarious to me. They have first names 😭 Also, Roshi probably won’t see this, but the word you mean is “ssibal” (shi-bahl)!

Cobra Kai season 4 and 5 do a good job fixing Karate Kid 3 retroactively, making 3 worth watching too... And yes, they dive deep into Danny's relationship with Miyagi, who was his father figure when he has no father to go to.

They say never meet your hero’s cause you would disappointed more times than not. Daniel had his hero and thought he knew everything about him. Thought Miyagi had told him everything. And saw him as this amazing guy. Not perfect but amazing. You can be inperfect and still not be a criminal. Also, Mr. Miyagi lived long enough to be a grandfather to his kids so it's not crazy for Daniel to feel some type of way after finding out the man whose name he always brings up to others as a argument for being good isn't as pure as he thought.

Daniel has lived his life strongly believing and following this man and his teachings. Seeing and thinking of him as this one way. Just to find out that not only did he barely know Miyagi at all.
