At least y'all finally see why we keep hyping up Danmachi although its older so not 100% as well animated as new stuff like this cause of tech. I also believe this was one of the first AI translated episodes since localizers kept putting nonsense translations in to match their personal politics and people got angry. (also possibly the reason crunchyroll stopped comments on the entire site as people were complaining.) "Workner" is just Wagner but it was changed for no reason.

It's hard to care for the cast when some of them are there to simply fall for the main character after their introductory plot is done. Sometimes it feels like an isekai without being one and there's only like 2 characters with some actual substance despite their obvious motives. The underlying plot is interesting enough (when the writer remembers there's one... ), the main character is likeable, and the fights are entertaining. It's just not as good as the fans would like you to believe. And yes, Hades' designs are still unparalleled. Whoever said that Danmachi's had a chance against those was smoking some pretty cheap stuff. Lmao

I also heard Dan Machi in the comments but had no idea what it was, but the moment you said bell I instantly remembered lol. I remember watching the first season when it first came out. I didn't watch the other seasons tho (I had forgotten the first one by then, and then never found the time to rewatch). All I remember is that despite its obvious fanservice and degenera-cy, I liked the main character and it actually seemed like a decent plot. I just don't remember anything tho lol. So I still wonder why such a hard push for the reaction tho. I find it funny that I never heard it called as danmachi, but its full government name? Yeah, remember it perfectly appearantly.

Plus all the tropey garbage, and the fact there are like 2 consecutive arcs where the bland mc saves a girl who then gets feelings for him just for them to essentially become harem bait. Typical 2010s LN trash but the animations pretty good overall and the world is a bit more interesting than the average fantasy anime, except the power system is also generic game-esque shit. Like you said there is bound to be some overlap, but every single plot point showed to some extent was taken directly from different works from different cultures that I think they just didn't expect the audience to catch (Euro Fantasy, Chinese Xuanhuan, Etc.). The goal nowadays is to use some overlap/influence, and put your own unique spin on it, and this show failed hard on that second part (based only off e1). I really say this specific show really is generic and boring while also kinda stealing since they didn't twist much from what they took

The coloring looks awesome but I'm not feeling the designs and the way everyone is speaking and acting is already annoying me so this a skip for me, even with a reaction. Also I was never much into the magic school Harry potter anime stuff. Mashle was a miracle to keep my attention and even that was slipping.

Look at how far we've come......yall still didn't learn ur lesson~ Black clover got so much unnecessary flack that I didn't even watch it until like 4 to 5 years later..... once I started, I was so confused on how anyone could hate such pure HYPE and back to back action? Also it feels like a chain here. This anime is recommended if u liked black clover. And black clover is recommended if u liked fairy tail. Black clover really did fill that huge fairy tail hole. I love em both, and I hope to love this anime too.

2024-07-11 00:44:28 +0000 UTCTrue, literally all fiction (not even just anime) is influenced by previous works, but this is like VERY similar to black clover. It also has the same director. JJK is heavily inspired by Bleach and Naruto but not nearly as many people called it a copycat of those because there's also a lot of differences and nuances. This isn't identical to black clover but it's definitely a copy cat. At the end of the day, if it being too close to black clover bugs you then don't watch it, but if it doesn't then enjoy it. I personally couldn't get too invested into 86 because even though it's great I found it way too similar to Code Geass which is one of my favourites. It's okay to like something because it's great and not because it revolutionized a genre.....Let's hope this show doesn't fall off though 🙏😭

It's kinda like 7th prince from last season in that way, but at least that show was funny.... All anime and shows in general are copycats of something or other, even black clover, anime has been around since the 60s and 70s, that's 60 ish years of anime with hundreds of anime of year. Black clover is not Unique, but that's not a bad thing. If you like it then watch it, if you dont then don't, it's that simple. There is definitely something out there that fits you if your willing to find it
