Only thing I don't care for was how they watered down Meryl's character. It feels kind of regressive for her to go from a competent, confident, outspoken, and experienced weapons-user, to an intelligent yet naive, uptight, weak and inexperienced "rookie" who just has a passion for justice. And don't get me started on her partner now being an alcoholic and jaded older man instead of a gentle giant woman. It just feels so on-the-nose and boring to have such unimaginative character dynamics like this, while in contrast the original characters felt like they were purposely meant to mirror Vash's very eccentric portrayal, go against the expected, and make all three stand out in their own unique way. Hoping these two can go through some major transformation by the end of this.

For whole part with the ship doesn't get covered until much later I think closec to half way. If you were to compare it to something it would be the live action adaptation of one piece.
