Maybe i think too hard on things, but his family all literally die before 30 and have done so for 1000 years.. They are cursed until they destroy the demon that came from the bloodline. We don't even know if killing Muzan will help his family. He is the cursed head of a 1000 year old mission to kill the most elusive demon we know of in order to free his ENTIRE FAMILY from a curse that kills them early and makes it hard to have healthy babies to begin with. How could you sum his character up with "he's a shitty father?" The man has most likely been indoctrinated since the moment he was capable of his 1st critical thought of any kind. I would bet the moment he was of age, his most likely dying father or mother had him immediately get to producing children with some woman he just met. Their kids then undergo the same training and indoctrination. The family is driven by intense purpose. To kill Muzan and free themselves and humanity from demons. Self sacrifice and sacrifice for the greater cause is most likely baked right into the family worldview. I know this is fiction and speculation on fictional characters but we are meant to try and imagine what life would be like for these characters.

so I don't think they'll state it in the anime, since it's a little bit weird. But the two sets of twins are 10 and 8, I believe the older twins were the ones that decided to stay with their dad, while the rest of the children were to be in charge of the whole demon slayer corps. Now, don't get me wrong, it is messed up that the dad didn't force them to leave. But the whole family is weird, with the dad getting married and started having children at I believe the age of 13, with this wife who was 17 at the time.

I think that was part of the plan. Not saying it was right or not. Having his kids around made Muzan drop his guard thinking such a tactic was not viable and that Ubuyashiki was not prepared for this encounter. After all, Muzan himself felt no danger until the last second and even commented that Ubuyashiki's heart was darker than even HE could imagine. Thats saying something from Muzan, the demon. But yeah it was a cold move if that were the case but I suppose in his mind, the chance to corner and injure Muzan outweighs the lives of his kids. Which is kinda wild but to kill a monster he had to become one too. A very common theme.

After some thought, im thinking they're gonna do the trilogy like they did with the Sailor Moon final movie. Release each part theatrically throughout the year. Like example, pt 1 in Feb, pt 2 in May/June, and pt 3 in Oct/Nov. Or something like that. Sorry, but you're wrong about this. The infinity castle arc *is* the final arc of demon slayer. I've read the manga 2 times now and this is, indeed, the final night of the series. The mansion blowing up is the precursor to the final battle. I'm pretty sure the final movie will be the last fight vs Muzan (if you know, you know).

Every episode has insane budget especially when it comes to the explosion and the infinity castle. Reading the manga and watching the anime is like two different experiences. None of the Hashira knew what Muzan looked like. Only Tanjiro did. Remember back in season one, Ubuyashiki told them that Tanjiro came face-to-face with Muzan and they were shook. Before this night, Tanjiro was the only one that knew what Muzan looked like.

The demon with the biwa instrument is the one that controls the Infinity Castle from what we've seen previously. She was also the one controlling the little eye drones. I'm guessing that she had one set on following every demon slayer she found, so she knew exactly where to open a door when the time came.

With how much we have to wrap up for so many characters the movies make sense. With a new season we'd lose momentum waiting each week since the build up of fights is what gets everyone hyped when they happen. Plus I don't see the studio making hour long episodes with so much to cover. 1. We need back stories for the upper moon demons and wrap them up (especially the one with the one with a connection to tanjiros dad) 2. Wrap up each demon slayers personal arc 3. I'm all for a trilogy. I can gladly wait. I want these guys to make a fuckton of money and I want these artists to be rich. They deserve it. Making anime is a great money sink in modern days when the most people will be willing to do is have a crunchyroll subscription. Also gyomei fights looking like it's going to be Tengen fights but on steroids which is super hype - they both have ridiculous weapons and dexterity with it.

For people who are on the fence about the movies, here's what I'll say: I never watched or read demon slayer, and I have about 0 care for it as a whole, since it was just meh for me every time I try to watch it story wise. Having said all of that, I still do know what happens later, and the trilogy of movies is in fact something I'm excited for. Knowing what the story does during the Infinity Castle Arc, I really feel the movie trilogy was the best option. If they did it across a season, the hype for these major fights coming up would be cut in more than half, by having to switch between different perspectives too often, while waiting more than a few weeks to see the pay off of each major fight. This is simpler, better, and gives the pay off for each of the three major fights at once, while also allowing them to devote a whole hell of a lot of budget to it. This is the perfect scenario. Lastly anime movies have a different release schedule than western ones, for example what happens with Code Geass things. It's likely we will get each movie in half year after the last one, instead of 1 every year (Evangellion is literally an exception 😅😅😅) Also they said something about no other anime trilogies which is kinda just flat out wrong as ufotable (the studio who produces this) is kinda the king for that style. If either of the Fate Trilogy movies (F/SN: HF & F/GO Camelot) were something to look towards for reference, this will be amazing 🙂

I love how well read Muzan is. You see this with other villains like Sukuna, Aizen, Gilgamesh, Johan, Griffith, etc too. The words they use in japanese always have me looking up shit in a dictionary, and I speak pretty good japanese. Just adds a level of culture to them. Also really loved the dialogue between Muzan and Ubuyashiki chan! The fact that Muzan was listening so intently is just so fascinating.
