Since the possessor didn't seem to recognize or acknowledge Cheng (which is why he just says "intriguing"). And it's likely in the present that he killed the blonde guy first and then possessed the girl.

2024-06-29 13:01:28 +0000 UTCI got to agree with roshi that this might have all really started for when buddy decided to run in the alley way to find the stalker killer dude, at that point I'm sure that was the actual killer in another body but when he was being watched and then followed he jumped out dudes body, that's why when girl popped up in the news blondie was upset because she ruined his friends plan so they set up to take home girl out, only for the dude to find out that they are also jumpers as well that's why he wasn't question why this girl knew he was there and even played along in going to the studio. Any normal person wouldn't have listened to her request and just killed her then moved on to hiding, that's why the creep called the phone to tell them he'll play the game before they even started jumping into photos. This is starting to feel like we are in the actual past and working up to the present time because the future has already started.

And, I don't think the villain has time travel - so they have to hit those targets one at a time - not a whole bunch at once (I think?)

I convinced her to stay up to watch the last 2 episodes and then we could start season 2 another time. She said yes because she REALLY wanted to see what happens. When this episode ended on the cliffhanger she looked at me and I smiled at her and she told me she hates me 😂 (Btw Roshi you keep calling him Chung but his name is Cheng lol)

Goddamn this show is amazing. Season 2 gets even crazier and that opening is easily one of the best openings in animes.

2024-06-29 02:03:32 +0000 UTCThere's actually a subtle detail in this episode that supports Sheera's claim that the killer was not possessing everyone at the same time and that Emma's possession was done by the killer in the past. Also, i won't spoil anything from Season 2. This is just what the fans concluded back in the day when Season 1 had just finished. At the start of the episode (timestamp 5:31), Cheng pops up in the photo room and the killer says "It really is you". That tells us two things: the killer recognizes Cheng by face and that they suspected Cheng was the one who was possessing Xu Shanshan. Since Cheng was possessing Xu Shanshan when he challenged the killer, the killer should not have known what Cheng looked like. However, the killer actually sees Cheng's face on the day Emma dies. When the killer posses Emma (timestamp 27:30), they look at Cheng and says "I didn’t realize there was a witness. Intriguing." That's why the killer recognizes Cheng in the present; they saw him in the past.

2024-06-29 01:01:16 +0000 UTCGuys guys Sheera is right about the culprit jumping from bodies at different moment of time : emma accident happened like during first episode so her jumping from the bridge in that last ep was way before in the timeline (and its the same train of thought for the culprit like he did not jump into her body at the present time but during the first ep too if u get me i hope 😅) Now about the beef btw liu min blond guy and emma, sheera said that she would have died whatever the mc did something or not, (well i do agree that the past is written in stone so in a sense she wiuld have died ni matter what) BUT not exactly no matter what because if you remember correctly liu min is angry against emma because she got into this mess from the data corrupting of her boss and got framed so he lost his money etc but all of that happened because lu guang and cheng xiaoshi got the mission of stealing data and they got a picture which emma took and got her in all this mess sooo yes its cheng’s fault but lu guang too, because they already accomplished their mission which means emma would have gotten in lu min’s radar even if cheng did not send a message Sorry for the long text, hope it helped just wanted to share my thought on it since its a fire anime And thx for the reac you guys are awesome

It showed off how the TT can be used as teleportation, defense, offense, and even mental warfare using the limitation's of the power to his own advantage as well. However, in S2 there is still 1 other way crazier application that I'm completely sure no one thought of before watching it happen. S2 is dark, hype, and amazing, with way too empathetic enemies that I still feel got completely fucked over by circumstance. If S1 is day, S2 is night, as in completely different vibes from each other, using basically the same things
