I'm not saying yall are wrong to have opinions, mine just differs. It's called laying out the plot- if you don't wanna see the political stuff, why watch Slime? It's not a Shonen where action is everywhere, it's ALWAYS been about politics and bonds and sometimes carrying out actions due to the politics and betrayals. I'll never understand people. This show just ain't for you if you wanna spend all day complaining that there hadn't been any action, and that's okay! It's one thing to say it's a bit slow, like roshi and them think, but some of yall are downright haters for no reason lmao

However, if you’re just going to watch in 2x speed and not get the most out of the anime, then no. I would compare it to Elden Ring in the sense that there’s a super complex world with complex combat system, but this has relationships as well as politics as well. It’s a great watch, but maybe not your style which is fine!

Maybe it's because of how her character has been handled thus far, but that entire food sequence with her was one of the funniest things on this show. (I'm really partial to sight gags so Hinata's expressions were killing me).

The anime ended a bit ahead of the manga after S2 (but still well behind the LN I think). I was looking forward to it actually ending ahead once more, but... that probably won't be the case this time around.

Sadly S2 got a new director who didn't quite get that and I think he's also the director for S3. That's what happens when you listen too much to LN purists who will always complain no matter what about things left out or being different.

2024-05-21 20:16:06 +0000 UTCSpend 6 episodes having meetings, setups, planning, strategy talk, etc. Then first thing that happens when events are set in motion is things not going according to plan from the get go. The villains get a small 1up on Rimuru (with Rimuru not figuring out beforehand that Hinata may just be a pawn) and his own crew performs better than expect. After that I can't help but wonder why they didn't just skim through the meeting stuff. I think 2 or 3 episodes of setup would be fine, but 6 episodes is just too much considering that many of the plans/strategies are subject to change once it starts. Much of this could've been relegated to adding few "I was hoping it would go like this, but I'll make it work" or "oh we're doing better than I expected" lines here and there to imply that there is a deviation from the initial plans.

Because of that they are pretty much immortal which is why they heal from every hit they take. Also the unit like many of Rimuru’s forces now has ogre members (when originally there were only the 6 orgres survived the ogre village destruction) as many goblins and hobgoblins evolved into ogres when Rimuru became a demon Lord

Also, the purple-banded Goblins that Shion leads are the people who came back to life when Rimuru became a demon lord so I believe they have some sort of regeneration ability thanks to that.

2024-05-21 19:24:32 +0000 UTCMultiple different plot points: Diablo is starting a coup in the kingdom of Falmouth, then the coup has started to be hijacked by the Rozzo family and the Eastern Empire (the over arching main villain of the story); Tempest is starting to throw a welcome party to invite the new races they had joined them, as well as improvements in their life style like ramen or the road with the barrier shown this episode; holy church basically just conveyed their worries from last season and the movie, until the 7 sages, who work for the rozzo family, instigate them to viewing tempest harshly for some reason; the clowns basically did nothing except recap the movie. This all converges when Rimuru invites Hinita to Tempest, to discuss shit peacefully, and then this episode happens Hope this helps out🙂

Diablo is running a whole operiation to start a civil war within falmuth but the kings brother is up to some shady stuff hiring mercenaries to go fight youms mercenaries who are representing rimiru through all of this Diablo sent the priest guy who was one of the 3 survivors of the war last season to go and give a message of peace back to them but something happened along the way and the messaged was and buddy was reported dead after by diablo Holy church has a traitor working for the eastern kingdoms who have their own plots going on. The leaders of the church seem to have a vested intrest in wanting hinata dead so theyve sent her out to fight rimiru as well probably in hopes they kill each other, they are probably also the ones who changed rimirus message to the church and killed the messenger All of this is whats coming together to spark whats going on rn I could be missing one or 2 other small details but thats about it (I also think they could have given us all this info in a more interesting way then sitting at a table)

They're anime original content but they're made by the author and looks like they're definitely setting important things up with the primordial demons and demon lords. OVA series takes place after S1 and the Movie takes place after S2 but they're linked.
