2024-04-30 03:24:44 +0000 UTCI love this romcom because both the guy and girl are clearly crushing on each other, they both are awkward about it but not in the typical overdramatic anime way, and they’re both equally sweet. And even tho the story is told through Ichikawa’s POV, we see Yamada exhibit basically the same behaviors as him (hyper aware of his actions, showing consideration for how he feels… and ofc the obvious staring and close contact lol). A lot of the stuff that happens doesn’t feel particularly tropey either, it’s just stuff that would happen to anyone. It’s refreshing ig.

2024-04-30 02:51:06 +0000 UTCYeah, Yamada and Ichikawa seem like they're thinking the same stuff in terms of what theyre feeling with eachother and are insecure and caving into their personality quirks which drives their interactions, but we're only getting the inside mental scoop on Ichikawa's end. That's how I'm seeing all of this. Yamada is naturally more forward because she has better social skills despite being a little ditzy and has friends while Ichikawa doesn't so he's lucky she can push herself to interact with him directly otherwise neither would even speak to eachother. Lol

2024-04-29 16:57:12 +0000 UTCYou can tell Yamada is hyper aware of Ichikawa's intentions from knowing how he's always listening in on her in the library, when he lies, and when he wants something like looking at the Baki drawing. Also I guarentee you Yamada probably told the others to go without them so that she could be alone with Ichikawa because she kinda pulled the same thing with the umbrella situation just so she could spend as much time with him as possible. She probably acted like she wasn't aware the same way she lied about her umbrella being broken.
