He enjoyed all of that though. He was giving his experience and I only played about the same as him so I only know a bit. But what he is saying is what I experienced in game. I don't really know too much about the New California Republic or anything, but I do enjoy all the side quests and what not. I prefer them over the main story tbh.

Excellent start I gotta say and I'm with the idea of the vaults we're already built simply because they're so intricate you can't tell me Dr. Vegapunk didn't build them because the design is so fire 🔥. I'm on the fence about maximus I don't think he did it but a small part of me suspects otherwise I think he's a good guy but I don't know if I was Dane I'd be looking sideways 👀 that being said it probably was thaddeus that did it but Max's sus meter rating is high. Walton goggins is indeed amazing I just started watching the shield and when I saw him I knew it was going to be good because his acting in justified is out of this world 👍. Ella Purnell as well can't remember where I've seen her before but her portraying this character's naivete is great especially with the Okey dokey lupa said it perfectly they're more than squares they're cubes 😂. The inbreeding dialogue killed me because obviously they learned their lesson some vaulter must have been born with six eyes or something.

i think it's okay to watch this without needing much from the games. it's the make of a good series adaptation when references can be appreciated but it can still stand on its own, like Arcane for example.

I'm the same exact way. I used to watch the shows first, but now I just watch these reactions first, even if the screen is tiny and it's not exactly the same experience. I still would rather watch the reactions. Though, I did this with their Attack on Titan reactions, and a year later my brother watched Attack on Titan, and I walked in on him watching it on his 70-inch TV and asked, "What is this?" and he said Attack on Titan. Which made me ask out loud, "This show looks this good?!?!" all because I've only experienced the 5 inches of screen the reaction videos show. I knew it was good looking, but the level of quality /transcended/ when I saw it on a full screen.

4 is good too yeah. I actually started with this one so i have a bit of nostalgia towards it. Never finished it though. Played like 80%. But i will warn you about the settlements feature. You have to build them and protect them and they're constantly under attack from what i remember. Even though i gave them turrets and build them walls, the attackers were still spawning inside, and the settlers were taking L's, so most of the time i had to fast travel there and actually protect them myself which became annoying especially when you were exploring or wanting to do a mission. A bit annoying if you ask me.

Hey ya'll certfiable fallout dork here. Here's some clarification. Fallout takes place in an alternate timeline where transistors were never invented and oil was much more scarce so technology progressed in a much different way. Lots of things like cars and even home appliances have atomic fusion based power sources. The flash backs in the beginning aren't the 50s but closer to 2100, so there is quite a bit of futuristic tech but it's all got a kind of retro analogue "world of tomorrow" sort of feel because the lack of transistors prevented everything from being digital. As for the ghoul, once their DNA has mutated to a certain degree they stop aging, but it fucks up their skin and soft tissues and there's a 50/50 chance they go insane and become animalistic murder gremlins that roam around killing anything that bleeds.

For 200 years vault have a connection and radiation and contamination is impossible unless someone open the door and the only way too is with the pip boy( the computer on their arm). Basically they don’t know that there is people up there because they never got out and all vault have the same rules approximately. Fun fact about human beings is that things about us can change over time. Likes and dislikes can change. Il use myself as an example. I was dead set against vegan food. I had never tried it just like Roshi has never tried Fallout but one day my sister who knows me very well just like Lupa knows Roshi convinced me to try some vegan chirozo and i liked it very much even when both my sister and I thought i wouldnt like it. huh the ghouls most of them are people from america 200+ years ago. they got radiation burned at the perfect redious of the blast for this particular sort of affliction the only "good" thing from it is longevity. the biggest negative is that that about 80% turned feral "zombie like" at the blast the others turned slowly and have some method too slow it down further. also im basing on every game lore i havent watched the show. the ghouls lore is the most convoluted of this series this coulf retcon all of it.

I know there’s more comments than yall will get to but they don’t really answer too much on the vaults in the show the biggest preface is what most fallout players know and Lupa for sure knows too but all of the vaults were built essentially due to the Cold War as an answer to potential nuclear war and the company that made them is vault tec, the Iconic Vault Boy is the guy on the pictures everywhere in the vaults.

Look, I love New Vegas, but if Roshi is worried about TOO MANY CHOICES, he should not play new vegas or even 3. He should probably start with fallout 4. But even that only cuts down dialogue choices. There's still branching quests and all that.

Great reaction, but a few pointers to help with the show without spoilers. The atomic bomb scene is in the year 2077, but as you see the culture is based around the 60’s. This show is not based off any single fallout game, but lots of callbacks to different games. In chronological order, this is 10 years after fallout 4. But enjoy the wild ride😁👍🏻

If y'all want more *incredible* Walton Goggins, I HIGHLY recommend Justified if you folks haven't watched it outside of this channel. It's extremely good on it's own and he is the primary antagonist off and on throughout the show. I'll throw in a recommendation for the Expanse, which doesn't involve him but I think y'all would also vibe with, but Justified is an all-timer fun show. And, as I'm sure others have noted, this is both 60s AND future tech. It's basically an alt-timeline where folks focused on nuclear energy at the expense of all else and also leaned super hard into 50s-60s aesthetic before things went to shit (as you saw at the start).

On the bright side, even though everyone in all the big cities would probably die, in reality there are not enough nukes in the world to destroy the world. I was watching a nuclear physicist react to fallout and yeah. Apparently we can't turn the entire earth into a wasteland. Part of it is because our bombs don't detonate on the ground, they blow up in the air, so the spread of radiation is mitigated, but part of it is also just if they detonated every nuke on the planet it just wouldn't be enough to permanently fuck everything

Little note on the time period. You guys were on point! Fallout takes place in the future. The reason why everything looks like it’s in the 60 is because in lore, computer chips haven’t evolved past old analog computers, keeping everything stuck in the old 60’s aesthetic. The scene in the beginning where the bomb drops takes place in 2077, and the main story of the show is actually placed sometime after the most recent game in the timeline, that game being fallout 4.

im surprised Lupa didnt know what ghouls are, they are humans that got exposed to a lot of radiation and turned into a ghoul(pretty much a sentient zombie,which can live hundreds of years some where around before the bombs fell) and there are feral ones that are just zombies and its unknown how regular ghouls turn feral.
