I was writing this as someone who hadn’t watched the finale at the time — it was a theory, not me claiming something was a plot hole. I guess the doll was just a symbolic thing then and not actually there, doesn’t make much of a difference in the long run.

It’s extremely good. Unlikely because it just released and it’s in the minority for popularity / recommendations, so the gang might not see this in the hundreds of other comments they get on Patreon. 😔 But honestly? IOTNBO, Moving, or Marry My Husband would make me happy.

I’m pretty sure the point is that Yi-jae always falls back on one of two things: a) trying to get the person killed to speedrun the game (which, outside of the serial killer isn’t all that justifiable), or b) giving himself the credit for someone else’s accomplishments and moving like it’s his life and his choices to make while ignoring the original person’s struggles. Neither of which are very appreciative or thoughtful towards anyone except himself, which is probably what Death is trying to teach him.

It’s SO GOOD. Like it’s cheesy in the way that all k-drama romcoms are cheesy but this stealth revenge alternate timeline shit has me absolutely fascinated (helps that some actors I love are in it too). I honestly think it would be a great duo reaction and a nice breather, not quite as heavy as the last few revenge / angsty k-dramas.

I normally try to leave recommendations on posts where you actually ask for them, but since DG is wrapping up: as far as duo K-drama recs go, for a newer release I seriously recommend Marry My Husband (available on Prime Video). I don’t think it qualifies as an isekai (or whatever the Korean equivalent is), but it is a time travel / revenge plot show where the lead gets a second chance after her death and tries to change her fate. I’m only on the first episode and it has a great combination of romcom, drama, and thriller aspects I feel like you and Sheera would enjoy a lot. First ep is extremely solid. (…But as far as popular recommendations, I’m also vouching for It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.)

I don't think he landed on his Mom. She was alive and visiting his memorial grave in earlier episodes. Even gave the girlfriend the fountain pen he had bought her after finding it in his stuff after he died. That said, if they hadn't already established her as alive after his death, that would be a wicked good plot twist! You guys connect such creative threads, you should write shows!

when you end yourself, who are you affecting? the people you left behind. that’s what she’s trynna teach him the whole time. also that death is much more than a way of escaping your own pain. all the people he’s lived as had some connection to each other and ultimately, the event of witnessing the man khs that day. MC couldn’t get his job and had his life “ruined” (subjective). And Tae-u got a taste for murder (although he already was a psychopath). Dude started killing people left and right, including MCs gf. MC was living as one of his scapegoats at one point. That one man khs ending up affecting many people. But the MC don’t learn and has repeatedly ended his life or lived haphazardly bc in the end, all he can think of is himself and not how he may be affecting others with his own deaths…

@reey That's a take on it. I think it's more so him getting so used living as someone and basically making a name for that person he's living as, but once he dies his achievements aren't his own anymore. I don't think the main character portrayed as if he was above anyone, or like he was a god. He never had a chance to live as someone for months so it would make sense he would forget who he is.
