The reaction formula is very simple, if people like it, they will watch it. It is not about animation. I am very sure there are a lot of patreons and subscribers that would love to see it but we keep getting nonsense brainless shonens and whatnot just because it is what is airing and unfortunately most people watching reactions are young in general so that is what they demand. However like I said, Monster would do very well too. Also, they are already a very successful channel and they can choose not to always chase what is the most views-efficient show to react and they definitely should do a favor to themselves and watch some of the older and more mature classics

Fifty Shades of Grey is a notorious and awful yet successful fanfic of Twilight, Pluto is a thoroughly wonderful love letter to Astro Boy, and some people say critically acclaimed works like The Name of the Wind have its roots as a Harry Potter fanfic. It just makes you wonder what other works are out there that are more or less revised fanfics, though I suppose few are as blatant (yet great) as Pluto.

Like, it has a lot of things that may be familiar or well tread within the genre, but it’s all done with such an excellent eye for ethos and pathos and written with nuanced characters and ever relevant themes, and featuring the best animation and music and voice acting etc, that by the end it’s something wholly and uniquely original. Wish more people gave it a chance.
