And to the part where they left her food by her door, it wasn't the mom bugging rather she was probably locked up in her room and just didnt wanna go out anywhere for some time not even to eat with her family.

2024-02-11 23:38:34 +0000 UTCI understand the mom making a big deal out of it cause once u do something that’s labeled bad for some people it basically opens the gates to do more bad, it’s the same reason many robbers are so dumb they get away with one heist earn a ton of money but then they want more money so they try to steal over and over again until they get caught, it’s happened to me where I’ve stolen things and then I start doing it over and over again cause I’m confident I won’t get caught now I stopped by my own after thinking about the future if I got caught and stopped all together but it is a real thing so make sure if u have kids make that shit traumatic for them make stealing feel worst than murder

Withdrawing for 6 months is crazy but it isn’t easy nonetheless. A personality like her doesn’t want to disappoint, but she disappointed her mother, her sister, the store owners, and ultimately, herself.

Ayanokoji BTFO'd her gambit by mentally breaking Ichinose the night previously, and since she was already mindbroken she was able to just confess that shit outright to the class instead of shutting down, hence why Arisu had that chat w/ Ayanokoji after the gambit & all that, asking him if she told him about it before that

2024-02-07 06:50:47 +0000 UTCHere’s some answers to your guys’ questions: - The reason Sakayanagi knew about Ichinose’s past is because Ichinose told Nagumo about her past to get entry into the student council as their secretary. Nagumo told Sakayanagi about Ichinose's past presumably so that she could destroy Ichinose and he could go and "save her" (you'll see more of Nagumo wanting to get involved with Ichinose in the next few eps) . When Sakayanagi had that meeting with Nagumo in EP 3 of this season that’s when she told him she was finally going to attack her. - The reason they made the hair clip such a big deal is partially because of 1) The price (About $200 USD) 2) Stealing is way way worse in Japanese culture but MAINLY because 3) Ayanokoji had a conversation with Horikita in the novel about who at the school is truly a good person and they agreed that Ichinose is the only person in the school who is genuinely a good person. The shoplifting was the only bad thing she ever did in her life and it was driving her insane. Even her class once she told them was like “Yeah it’s fine we don’t really care.” because she was her own hater more than anyone. - Her mom wasn’t treating her like a prisoner. Ichinose was the one who locked herself in her room without going outside because she was super depressed that she not only disappointed her mom but broke the law even if it was minor. Her mom tried to help her constantly. - What Ayanokoji did in all this was visit Ichinoses room everyday for a week until she confessed the crime to him and that gave her the courage to face sakayanagi head-on. The main person who was hating for the crime was Ichinose herself so if she owned up to it and moved forward it wouldn’t matter at all . This is why Sakayanagi left after Ichinose started owning up to it because there was no point anymore. - The “Ichinose is a criminal” rumour came from Sakayanagi, but Ayanokoji got Kushida to give all her information on people in their year and gave it as “rumours” to the vice-president to spread on the school forum. He’s actually the one who spread the rumour about himself that “Ayanokoji likes Karuizawa” as a cover so he didn’t look suspicious. - You missed the special ED only for this episode it was pretty cool. Also there was an after credits building Ayanokoji and Ichinose's relationship more.

Japan has strict morals when it comes to certain things so even though stealing something for $300 wouldn't be a big deal in America to a parent it's a really big deal for a parent in Japan because they equate that to having a bad character and the mom doesn't want Ichinose to go down that path.

Arisu was looking at Ichinose's past in both social reputation and a realistic approach. That's what Arisu was trying to do here when she says that it doesn't matter that she confessed to her classmates, the fact remains that she's a criminal. Arisu was being realistic and she didn't want to give Ichinose any sympathy. And this is why she lost here because after Ichinose confessed and told her past, her classmates were quick to understand that her crime was basically "nothing of value". After all, she's such a nice person. Arisu thought that with Ichinose confessing, she would lose her authority as a class leader, and she would lose her friends here which may lead to her quitting school (which explains why Arisu said she would save Class B because their points are being held by a criminal)
