Nothing would be fixable. Barely anything would even still exist. Most of it would have long since turned to dust. At best they might gain a bit of insight into how it was made, but the story explores stuff like that in the next few arcs.

Example: You stay outside its range but touch it just by your fingertips, it petrifies you completely instead of just getting your fingers. It petrifies the whole target once you get hit, not just partially.

The device was under Tsukasa's Hand and other were pressing Tsukasa's hand and not directly touching the device. This is the only explanation I can think of.

Everything so far has been about 140 chapters of about 230, so bit less than half left. Still they gotta speed run it, unless it’s like AOT “final season” (part one)

I'm not sure if they are officially available so If you wanna check out the new chapters you can just do a google search and read them on just about any of the many "unofficial" manga sites.

I'm starting to think this next season will be "final" in the same way that AOT S4 was its "final" season. Granted, as an anime-only viewer, I'm only basing this on an uneducated hunch. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if Dr. Stone wraps up with a movie after the "final" season, as manga canon movies seem to be a growing trend these days (like Gintama, Haikyuu, Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, Demon Slayer etc).

2023-12-29 23:38:54 +0000 UTCFYI, the manga was finished, and then the author suddenly started it up again, he's been releasing large chapters every few months massively expanding the epilogue to the point where it's becoming a whole new arc. Since the final chapter was released in march of last year there have been 4 new chapters released the last on being this month.
