Someone having Limitless and Six Eyes doesn't necessarily make them Gojo. Gojo had it since birth but still got bodied by Toji until his reawakening with RCT. Hard to power scale Toji but he's definitely not 15 finger Sukuna level. Sukuna is also a different type of fighter than Gojo, and the amount of fingers he has only determines his cursed energy output. Even one finger Sukuna still has his old knowledge, fighting experience, etc. We don't know anything about the fight back then so it's only speculation. Could the Zenin elder gang up on the Gojo elder with Maho before Maho turned on the Zenin elder? Did the Gojo elder have access to Hollow Purple back then, and was willing to go all out with it at the proper time? Did he have Infinite Void or some other Domain Expansion, or any Domain Expansion at all? We've never seen when Gojo developed his DE but it's definitely later than the Hidden Inventory flashback. Pre-Domain and Pre-RCT Gojo would've been one-tapped by Sukuna probably if he was in a situation equipped to deal with Gojo's infinity barrier. I think current day Gojo would also body Maho, especially if he went 100% before it could adapt opposed to Sukuna fucking around with it to cause carnage. I think the reason Gojo thinks Megumi could surpass him one day is because Maho would just be one part of his skillset. If he tamed Maho, he has him, all the other shikigami, his own cursed energy and physical abilities, a domain expansion, etc. 🤓🤓

Mahoraga is honestly one of the coolest concepts I have ever seen in an anime, a being that could be literally invincible if it adapts to your techniques. Megumi tried to use Mahoraga against Yuji in ep 2, against Sukuna in ep 5, he tried to summon it against the finger bearer in ep 23 and against Toji. Megumi has always been ready to throw his life away. That talk Gojo gave to Megumi in ep 23 makes a lot more sense now. An important piece of information about Sukuna's "cleave" is that it can adapt to the targets toughness and cursed energy so it can cut it down in one fell swoop. Also keep in mind that Gojo arrived to Shibuya at 8 Pm at the end of this ep it is 11:14 all this chaos happened in the matter of 3 hours and we are still not done. We have now entered the climax of this arc.

To the people who are saying Makora is wrong, it kidn of isnt. 八握剣異戒神将魔虚羅 => that's the kanji for him. Mahoraga is the English translation(and i'm not sure where it originated from, it might've been from a official manga translator). The last three characters read as "ma-ko-ra" Anyways Mahoraga has no power ceiling. If you let it, Mahoraga literally can adapt to anything and everything. Gojo and Sukuna could decide to be stupid and let Mahoraga adapt to their attacks and then it would becoem unkillable(albeit it would take a long time)

Damn lmao the CR subs are wild for "Malevolent Kitchen". The proper terms are Malevolent Shrine for Suckuna's domain, Cleave for the slicing attack against targets with CE, and Dismantle for the attacks against targets with no CE. Makora is the Japanese pronunciation of Mahoraga. Also I feel like both translations did a bad job of narrating Malevolent Shrine. Basically the domain has no barrier (Which is considered impossible since Domain Expansions are a technique where the user paints their "Innate Domain" (Mindspace?) onto a surface). All previous domains were inside of a sphere thingy and had their own world, whereas Malevolent Shrine doesn't change anything, just fucks shit up. Sukuna exchanges the barrier for a range extension, using the logic of "Oh, well there's no walls blocking your escape, so it's fair and balanced if I force you to run 200m" Seeing how strong Mahoraga is, it's hilarious how many times Megumi tried to summon it in season 1. Bro had the slightest inconvenience and went "Guess it's time to kill myself. With this Treasure I Summon-" It's fuckin crazy that Mappa treats its animators so bad that there's now talks of them just walking out, but I'm glad that we at least got these three bangers. Honestly with the way they used the OP song at the end, this could be framed as a mid-season finale and it'd work. I'd rather the animators got given a break than the next episodes have a dip in quality cause those will be just as, if not more hype than this.

Crunchyrolls translation is a bit funky compared to what some things actually say. Malevolent Kitchen is Malevolent Shrine, Mahorago is its name not Makora, Sukunas technique is Cleave and Dismantle not fillet and dissect. Now these could be the actual translations but in season 1 Sukunas technique definitely said Shrine. (Not a spoiler) But in the manga (not a spoiler) they did show 2 knives when explaining cleave and dismantle so I couldn't just be a double meaning translation. I've also seen that the translation issue with the subtitles is likely because the episodes come out on such a tight schedule and they're likely using machine translation instead of human translators. Megumis explanation was a bit confusing on crunchyroll also but it wasn't that bad.

Oh yea. Makora is literally the weakest it'll ever be at the START of the fight. Unless you can delete this thing with speed, it will win every fight it takes part in. If the fight takes long enough, it'll come out on top as you become incapable of harming it, and it becomes able to overcome any defenses you have to stop it. That's why Sukuna had to open up his technique again, to pull out the firepower. Because he didn't know if Makora had adapted to his specific techniques, or to just slashing damage in general.

The only reason the japanese industry is even sustainable is because: 1) Braindead(albeit they're getting better) work habits where you can slave people out for shit pay 2) The japanese audience actually shun you if you pirate shit, like they will get really angry at you if you tell them you do that. Which is one of their better traits though because it gives a lifeline. 3) Streaming companies now throwing money at studios for exclusive streaming rights To a different discussion Anime as an artstyle is so error prone so when you make a mistake it literally costs too much money and time to fix it. That's why the west doesn't touch this artstyle and uses CG. With CG you can very easily correct mistakes much faster.

I think rock paper scissors fits perfectly. My theory is the shikigami must first take damage, as like an activation condition for it’s technique, so like in a game of rock paper scissors you must first be hit by rock to then learn that paper can defeat rock. However the weakness to this as shown is that the shikigami must be hit with the same attack, you can’t beat rock with paper if rock isn’t used again. It makes sense, I like the meta, but the world slowest punch sounds cool too.

So what I basically got from what sukuna was saying is the shikigami can change itself to better be able to fight against its opponent. Like in rock papers scissors once you’ve seen what a person does you can easily determine the best course of action to defeat the opponent. Makora is the six eyes and limitless of the Zenin family.
