The procedure for emergency response and security forces when encountering individuals near what could be a hazardous/destructive device is to detain or evacuate them. That goes for law abiding citizens too. The maulers are known criminal/terrorist geniuses, so by all means the first step is to stop them and then detain them. In that kind of situation, every wasted second could lead to collateral damage and loss of life. On limited information and a seemingly critical situation, Cecil made the correct choice. This very well could’ve been a weapon of mass destruction going off in the city, or a device that would’ve made the Maulers unstoppable.

He did prejudge a situation without knowing exactly what was going on. There's no argument to deny that that's what actually happened. Sure your point would work given enough time. Unfortunately given the state of Earth in most timelines, time was really of the essence. Many of his alters were stored in safehouses in alternate dimensions and who knows how long they'd have lasted? Angstrom himself even said that there would be no way to analyze and interpret the sheer mass of information unless he had access to it all at once. That was his argument for sharing all the memories. Sure, we don't know if that was true or false but he certainly believed it to be true. You making the claim to the legitimacy of that point is lacking because we don't know exactly what was going on in his head nor did we get a lot of on screen time with him to determine whether that was true or false. Well then, in summation, sure some of the claims you made make some sense but most are overwhelmingly lacking based on the limited information we had access to in the episode and would just be assumptions on our part either for or against said claims. I hope you don't feel insulted because I respect you as a person. Just because I disagree doesn't mean I don't think you're a human being filled with dignity and worth.

No one ever said in this episode that our dimension is the only one with a good Invincible. Y'all be putting words in the show's mouth. They said that he isn't good in most-- M-O-S-T-- most dimensions. It's not important, except for the distinction. A similar mix up happened in The Boys TV show. We only saw that they told... and maybe thought... Homelander he couldn't have kids (since he was developed in a lab from solider boy, clone style). They never said all supes can't have children. Even in the first season we had Mesmer (the psychic child star guy) who had a kid he was trying to see again. They also say that no supe has been born naturally, so why does the child of Polarity have the same powers in Gen V? It's probably because the Compound V reacted similarly to Polarity's son because of their similar genetics. TL;DR -- words matter. Don't add or remove too many. lol

Technically I think unlike 99% of the planets Viltrum has conquered by now, Earth will become a 2nd class citizen type of deal, since as Omniman found out, Humans are compatible for breeding purposes, and their maturation speed & reproduction RNG chances are higher than w/ pure Viltrumites, which solves their problem of running out of manpower to properly expand the empire (rn they conquer that shit & only leave like 1 Viltrumite per planet, and even then they are starting to run thin on troops). Yo, based off of episode 1, and an article that popped up on my feed today about a certain director saying s2 of Invincible being "a disappointment", I ASSUME this season is gonna have a LOT of storytelling and world building. I think next season is gonna bring the SMOKE (I'm a little spoiled to chapters 89 and beyond) but this season is gonna play a huge part in making future events make sense. Expect a lot of growth from Mark and other Heroes... but keep in mind this is Robert Kirkman... TWD had a lot of ups and downs. This is gonna be more of a down for Invincible, but it all plays to the greater plot of the overall story!

Wow, that’s a REALLY good update to the origin story of Levy. The added detail of his scrambled mind associating our Invincible with everything the evil ones did is brilliant. His heel turn motive wasn’t quite as strong in the comics, he lost a chunk of his recent memories in the explosion and assumed that Invincible was the one who turned him into a freak because he didn’t remember taking it off himself. He filled in the gap as him actively ordering the Maulers to kill Mark and Mark breaking free and breaking the machine. Also a fun fact, he didn’t ignore his injuries when he portaled away. He just went to a universe with really good health care lol

Finally realizing Mechamaru sent his soul to this universe after fighting Mahito, that's crazy, props to the writers. Shoutout to Sterling K Brown he killed it as Angstrom. So many great actors VA in this series. Also, can't wait to see what Bulletproof can do lol he seems dope.

I like how quick Bulletproof was with his comeback shit-talking to Rex. That loudmouth needs to be verbally humbled. Also, Bulletproof is mad sus. First, his superhero name. It's a near-synonym of Invincible. Second, his costume. It's literally the og costume Mark was checking out at the costume shop, but wanted it in a different color.... and ended up getting a big letter "i" on it for his superhero name. Also, with this they've finished splattering the title card with blood, and it's started cracking.

That opening sequence had me really concerned for a moment, was saying it had to be a dream/nightmare or an alternate universe, thank goodness it was the latter and not the actual future. That Giant definitely has to be a Donald Trump reference. I literally couldn't see it as anyone but Trump, the resemblance was uncanny lmao. Really excited for this season, looking forward to seeing Mark's growth as a person and as a hero, including him dumping Amber for Eve, because that needs to happen. Amber acting cute now, but I still don't think she's the one for him anymore. Also, Mark should get some actual professional hand-to-hand combat training. That should help with the not getting beat up so much.
