2023-11-03 22:09:32 +0000 UTCwell frieren lives so long, even if she learned one spell every 5 or 10 years, she'd learn like hundreds of spells over that time. plus after a while learning new spells becomes easier and easier as she gains so much experience in manipulating them. In other words, frieren is flexible with her spells while demons are over specialized with that being thier inherent weakness.

The double meaning reveal here was so good in the manga when the scan teams went with the literal translation and it's hard to convey with the official english title. It makes me wonder why they didn't just go with "Funerary Frieren" though I guess the alliteration might come off as cheesy to some.

Also, I didn’t see a massive tree in the middle of the town, which is what you’d expect if that’s what the barrier was still connected to. So it kinda makes sense why they didn’t think that was the case

He's sufficiently strong enough to fight that Lugner immediately reassessed his judgment to take him seriously. But, due to his own lack of confidence Stark is just too catious to want a direct conflict that he only restricted himself as a decoy to setup Fern.
