Teddy gotta go

Comments

One thing that hit me bout Leon's convo with Kane. Was da bro gotta do it at Tams number 7. That's a place til this day, I make sure to patronage when I'm in the area. always get a burger in the afternoon. Breakfast burrito in the morning. They fried they potato wedge ish fries to a crisp in a good way. I always go back, because all my family tell me, and I never forget where I came from. Heck, still open today. Was glad to get my super cheese burrito with sausage

J Man

@Grelk yeah well im still going to call you my GUY, and what tf are you going to do about it? Oh right, nothing.

Marcopopo350

i am NOT your guy

Grelk

@Grelk And yet they both have been built on destroying black people. Dont try argue semantics my guy. It still makes them racist as fuck, no matter how you slice it.

Marcopopo350

@Grelk he kind of is tho, even if teddy doesn't realize it.

Marcopopo350

there is a glaring difference between the Klu Klux Klan, an organization built on only racist values and the us government taking advantage of race relations in their nation to fund a war

Grelk

yes, but teddy himself is not directly racist

Grelk

The teddy move at the end here was the beginning of the end.

Aaron Brown

fr the sniffing was from him using. Idk where they remember bro coughing

Nah, I'm not really buying that. Like first of all we've seen Franklin be a genius at points of the show, so we fully know he is capable when putting in effort. Secondly it being difficult to predict shouldn't be an excuse, you're still the leader, its still your responsibility regardless. He messed up with his dad, and he messed up this time as well. Like I said Teddy might've gone a little overboard but damn it's warranted for sure. Not the first time someone from Franklins side almost gets him clapped.

EmoBurrito

@muxakara! bruh tf are you on what you described is literally racism. Going after any race over whatever perceived usefulness is some racist shit. And fuck whatever the CIA's job, is. That is still no excuse for destroying hundreds and thousands of black people's lives and there communities. And Teddy is a part of that system. That makes him just as racist in my book.

Marcopopo350

it seems someone forgot about what teddy said literally last season. you have to be resourceful because if not, then you are expendable. and if you are expendable you're as good as dead. no one is gonna come save you and you yourself have to have your own out, because no one is going to have on for you. the light during the scene showed half of teddy's face in the light and the other half in the dark. showing that you truly can't trust a soul. its been established early that teddy was this monster. we just never gave bro the respect of really believing he was with the shits. now that everyone is truly a pawn in his eyes, we're all looking like the surprised pikachu meme.

muxakara!

i think she's blinded by inferiority. i think the hasty decisions she makes is all justa power trip. finally feeling like you have power but not knowing how to assert it with authority leads to irrational and iffy decisions.

muxakara!

i don't think it's racism so much as it is a very mathematical approach to economics. it is no unknown fact that black people were in poverty and out of the entire country were the brokest sub-section of people. the CIA's job is to use that to their advantage, regardless of the morality of it all. economics itself is a slave system, with numbers that can be manipulated by the higher power at anytime. i think teddy isn't coming from a place of genuine racism but from a place of pure logical and mathematical thinking, devoid of compassion. after all, this is the type of person you need to be in order to do these types of operations, which is why, morality aside, teddy is so damn good at his job. throwing out all indication of sympathy or empathy, which we know he is capable of feeling, (ex: his wife and him urging her to give him another chance ; the guilt of his brother dying.), yet decides it isn't going to help the misison. the truth is that african americans were extremely expendable. the truth is that racism was apparent yes, the truth is that BECAUSE african americans were so expendable they were perfect to use for their dirt work. but sir. its america. so the entire country was built this way. does that mean teddy himself is racist? no. that just makes him a man that understands the system put in place and how he,as a CIA agent must use those resources to do the dirty work that nobody has to.

muxakara!

i don't really think we can blame franklin here. as its known, nobody at all had any idea that kane was released. and since he was responsible, how was franklin every supposed to think of that? the thought of peaches doing whatever before hindsight is a big a reach. how would he know that they'd be targeted in such a precise way. all on the same day? around the same time? almost in sync? way too many variables for franklin to have ever kept up with.

muxakara!

It isn’t but it is about race. Teddy knows ppl don’t care what happens in the hood, which is why he didn’t try to partner with a white guy and sell to white communities. Same reason he doesn’t want Franklin making big buys because it’s suddenly ‘high profile’ and now he’s suddenly a prominent black man. The dynamics are about race.

Taijen

@Nachelie its nothing to do with belief, if you want to be Ignorant of the fact that he is racist then by all means stay that way. But the dude works for a racist organization that is profiting off of the destruction of black communities. You cant ignore that just because it doesn't fit your narrative.

Marcopopo350

If you want to believe he is racist, that is on you but it's obvious he is losing it and wants to continue the same business he risked everything for. Nothing to do with race in my understanding.

Nachelie

@Doby Greg You pretty much hit the nail on the head. Too many people think that being racist is super in your face like someone calling you a monkey or the n word. But a lot of racism especially, modern racism is far more subtle.

Marcopopo350

@bark then we must be watching a different show, just because teddy isn't out here saying the n word doesn't mean he isn't racist.

Marcopopo350

@Nachelie except nobody said he is racist because he was white. His actions show that he is being racist even if he doesn't know it. How about the part where he is with an inherently racist ass organization.

Marcopopo350

@Tyrese Marshall but there is clearly an element of racism when it comes to teddy.

Marcopopo350

@darnay mayberry Dude stop riding teddys nuts, Even if teddy doesn't see himself as racist doesn't stop that there is an inherit angle of racism. Just for the simple fact that he is a part of a racist ass organization. This is like saying a member of the kkk isn't racist becasue he isnt out calling black people the n word.

Marcopopo350

I guess it depends it depends on if you define a racist as someone that as a deep hatred for a ethnicinity. Or just have a negative bias or harmful disinterest in the reality of their struggle. Like is Teddy rose tinted belief that the US is full of opportunities even for a black man and they just need to try a form a racism or not? Or does that belief not being fueled by hatred but by convenient ignorance make it something else?

Doby Greg

She's on "Fuck Franklin"" energy . Remember Jerome had to beg her to come welcome Cissi. She will do anything to undermine him and prove he cant control her.

Doby Greg

cause it's easy to say that, than to think a little bit more and understand why. Is it racist that Teddy killed the other CIA agent to get his job back? NO, he killed, for the same exact reason he's lecturing franklin right now. he was sloppy and doing too much.

darnay mayberry

facts facts facts

darnay mayberry

it's not about race with teddy, its about protecting his work. nobody cares about the ghetto so franklin is free to buy that up. but buying and getting into big investment deals and someone doing a paper trail has a chance of coming back to teddy

darnay mayberry

i seen the rest of the series and Louie is one of my least likeable characters

darnay mayberry

Honestly, I don't think you overlooked anything. That is 100% the same question I got lmao. I can kind of understand the whole, not trusting the business deal with Kane to last but the fact that she's going behind everyone's back irritates me cause she isn't thinking of the repercussions but, whatever lol. It makes for a crazy story I guess

Koosha Mokhbery

Teddy running off after getting shot is completely understandable. Like fight or flight, Franklin would've done the same thing if he got shot too. Teddy might of gone a little bit overboard but he literally got shot because of Franklins carelessness, some of it is warranted.

EmoBurrito

So, I have a question: Louie forgave the two girls who shot at her, forgave and works with Skully, but Kane is where she draws the line and trusts a cop (who disrespects her) more than her own family? I get being angry, Jerome being angered makes sense because it's consistent with his character (before him trying to find peace), but she's moving a lil wild. I feel like I'm overlooking something.

Nita - Kento's Widow

oh teddy is definitely planning an out .. yall just not gon believe how

mal

Am I the only one that skips the parts where teddy is on screen with the doctor I feel like that whole plot point is unnecessary

Jae

LOOL

R A

I'm not even white, I'm black too you fucking dumbass. Not every white man is racist especially in this case where Teddy doesn't trust or cares about Franklin anymore.

Nachelie

Fr

Ty Arroyo

"nincompoop ass coon" IM CRYING LMAO

Yoxxhio

Shut yo white ass up nigga, teddy definitely racist

Yoxxhio

been saying all this shit because of her shit claudia warned them about her they didnt listen from helping franklin she had her goal of being in control alot the fam is probably going to die because of her

Candy

It's incredibly disingenuous to be that dismissive and pretend like you don't see the angle they viewed it from. Teddy literally is a government official who is insanely passionate and accepting about a plan to fund a war by destroying black communities by funneling cocaine into them. That in itself is inherently racist disregarding any other point i could also attempt to make.

nami

Louie consistently became less likable as the show went on

nami

I agree. I think Teddy and Franklins relationship is a big part of the overall story in Snowfall especially with the constant parallels with their characters choices and reactions. I also don't really think Teddy is racist, but more so has a set ideal of how America works and what his mission is (that imo relates back to his Trauma with his Dad and Mom) regardless of race. That is why his discussions with Franklin and Alton about the effect of drugs on minority communities' and how America treats black people is important seeing as most of his Rebuttals usually end up being '' America gives opportunity to everyone'' or '' I'm not the Government but the facts are etc.''

KiRissa

Discrimination isn’t inherently racist

Tyrese Marshall

Teddy needs to chill

Franklin Saint

Lmaooooo fr idk how people don’t see that what teddy is doing is discrimination literally having a African-American male selling crack in the black community like that is already telling his character 😂

Franklin Saint

why the fuck yall make everything racist lmao??

Mohd

Teddy's definitely a fan of lynching

Angel

Aye Yo, All do respect! All U "Teddy isn't racist" commenters. Ima need for y'all to go take a f***in nap somewhere and come back when U wake up and say💬Ser Arthur Dayne ur right, We were just chatting!😭😭😭😭 Because Teddy entire plan is racist WTF are we talking about here. Sooo we just forgot the fact that he's a whole CIA agent? Or that he knew who Franklin was before he decided to drive his car into him?? This is why U shouldn't type while emotional cause obviously y'all weren't thinking! I mean, unless y'all telling me U don't think he could've found a white guy in the Valley that sold coke and did the exact same thing(with less obstacles, might I add) y'all triggered by the fact that he told Saint he could only buy house in the hood😭😭😭That's lite! MFs in the comments talking bout how him and Franklin "Bonding and💩" y'all are HILARIOUS❗❗

Ser Arthur Dayne

Peaches was never sick

Almightydu

🤣😂😭

Ser Arthur Dayne

Exactly.

Ser Arthur Dayne

Louie so Gottdamn stupid it's ridiculous! Dumb as a brick!!! All this 💩is Jerome's fault. KING simp❗

Ser Arthur Dayne

Teddy doesn't come across as racist at all in this?

bark

And on top of that! “Buy up the whole ghetto” likeee you think imma just be selling rock forever? You not even considering my future or an exit plan. Matter of fact Leon pissing me off too! Talking about some all these black bodies in the street..nigga we sell crack!!! Don’t hit me with that fight the power ass speech

Kevin

The thing that pissed me off bad about Teddy being so mad was (like yes Franklin fucked up) Franklin been making you money for years: hes been shot at, shot and almost crippled, been jumped and beaten, almost eaten by a tiger, kidnapped, killed his Bestfriend, has to work with the man who killed his father, been to jail, got beat up by his uncle, had to settle a gang war…and all of that just to keep the business going!! The games the game Teddy! Franklin shoulda spazzed

Kevin

Im sorry but Louie’s plan is just dumb. Like I’m not even sure why she keeps trusting this cop when he’s clearly not right.

PetersThimble

^what he said. Plus we saw in previous seasons that Franklin has already built up a level of notoriety. The cops know how much money he’s moving and who the family is. But they don’t have the evidence to lock them up and even if they did Teddy would have had connections to get them out.

Kevin

Teddy is more paranoid than racist, just because he is a white man doesn't mean he is defined that way.

Nachelie

Jerome stay being my favorite character

Kisuke01

I don't know where you are in the story so I don't want to say anything. After the last episode, I genuinely feel like they had an actual genuine, significant bond. Under different conditions they would've gotten along really well. I think the Teddy and Franklin in the parallel universe we got to see are perfect examples of what the two would be like in more peaceful circumstances. Given his interactions with Louie, Franklin, and maybe some others im forgetting I really am not convinced he's racist. I think he acts the same way to anyone who antagonizes his mission regardless of their skin color. We've seen it with how he handled the Mexicans, the columbians, CIA... all quite uniform.

danial javady

Don't judge me alright, I'm not the same man I was 5 minutes ago...

Teddy McDonald

what could possibly go wrong

Lord Of Frog's Congolese Uncle

Wait the dude Leon was talking to is Norm Nixon's son from the Lakers

James Stephenson

no he’s definitely racist, you see that confirmed eventually

Lord Of Frog's Congolese Uncle

no offense but #nevertrustawhiteman you got thirty minutes to call for some backup jerome. dont get caught lacking

rickie woodson

After Teddy killed his dad and Franklin saw how much he could flourish with someone else handling the CIA side I doubt they share much of a bond. And similarily Teddy spent a year refocusing on the mission to get rid of all the bs sentimentality he might have for his asset (Franklin). At this point it is about business for both of them. AS far as Teddy being racist. I'm sure he wouldnt call black people monkeys. But he also would probably tell you that the only reason black people are struggling is because they didnt try hard enough. And I doubt he cares too much about destroying them as long the more upscale side of the society (who happen to be white) is prospering. If you think Teddy isnt the kind of Guy that sees a college black kid and think he's one of the good ones " I think you are wrong.

Doby Greg

I dont really consider the deal they want to do with Kane all that crazy. They did the same thing with Scully.

Doby Greg

The one talking about racist is in the comment section calling people coons lmao

Art of Trolling

“Being racist isn’t actually being racist” get ahold of yourself you fucking nincompoop ass coon

DIOR

saying racist shit isn't inherently racist. It's more the mindset and opinions one holds

Tyrese Marshall

Shit insane they actually pissing me off with this nonsense lol

DIOR

Bru don’t waste your time arguing with these guys😭. They think you either 100% racist or 0%

Dontsop Keran

Cuz his business is booming already, he owns hundred of properties and the sellers for those properties don't care about where you got the money they still getting paid, plus if the government ever got involved a quick call to teddy is all he would need

Luffy_77

Ong 🤣🤣🤣🙂

Fizzy

I can’t wait for Lupa to see the “bodies, bodies, bodies” scene since he loves Franklin freaking out.

Basedra

Teddy’s not racist he’s paranoid and i would be too every bad thing that has happened in this show was connected to Franklin and yall forgetting what time period they’re end Franklin doesn’t have a rich family nor a college degree and was working at a corner store so a black kid buying up millions of dollars worth of property is hella suspicious y’all forget the CIA funding the war is an illegal operation and if this wasn’t a tv show Franklin and his crew would’ve been got jammed up

Big Daddy Dre

“Everyone’s a little racist” rhetoric is bullshit but that’s also irrelevant because he didn’t have “lowkey racist viewpoints” he had borderline threatening viewpoints lmao you niggas so retarded stop acting like he was sitting in his room on his spare time with conservative opinions and FOX news on, he said it straight to bro face

DIOR

The truth 🙌 praise be to my queen

Franklin wasn't getting away with 35mil scott free

You can have low-key racist viewpoints, but it doesn't at your core make you racist

Franklin wasn't getting away with 35mil scott free

I thought that too, but maybe he didn't want to badmouth his dead little brother to Kane. It comes across as justifying murdering his family instead of emphasizing it was an accident. Maybe it would've helped, but hearing something like that would still cause a negative enough reaction that it might ruin the mood of the talks. Maybe hearing the full story would just make Kane go psycho against the Mexicans too. Kevin was willing to go charging in suicidally over non-immediate family, he probably got a lot of his values from his older brother.

Louis Kalman

You niggas moving weird as hell in the comments anyone that has finished the show knows teddy is a racist. Every racist person isn’t going to flat out call you a nigger to your face his comments multiple times about how he views the black community as lesser beings that can be outright disposed of without an issue because they aren’t worth enough to be cared about should be enough. I don’t need no nigga with a Mexican last name like you telling me bro ain’t racist if you seen season 6 you should already know y’all lame and weird even slightly pretending he ain’t, go say the shit he said to a black person irl then come back and tell me the results

DIOR

I ain't gonna lie buying out the ghetto comment did sound racist but also he was kinda right? franklin being legit while being in an illegal business would bring unwanted attention because if shit goes to hell. it all goes to hell not just the cocaine business but idk that's just me.

KeYo

bro WTF is this name????????? https://prnt.sc/z5hNq5i7-EXd

danial javady

hes definitely a little racist. Hes not like klan racist but he does not care about any minority group, not even a little. Or believe that theres true oppression for black people in america.

nickhaze

Teddy isn't racist... he's paranoid. And the last thing you want to happen with your paranoid partner is their delusional anxiety actually happening and becoming reality. Which is what happened when they got drove by. Peaches betrayal is still on Franklin. That was a big fuck up. It's why Teddy said Franklin got lazy. Teddy already mentioned he really didn't like how he got entangled in business deals with the other fat CIA dude(I forgot his name), this is the same thing. It draws in way too much attention and he's right. Franklin is already drawing in attention with how this deal is going on because he has to transfer funds from international bank accounts and delay the process... which raises the question: Where is this american real estate company(where the assets are all local!) getting their funds from and why are they sitting in international banks? It's why Franklin wanted to distribute the deal with Jerome, Leon, and Louie to make it look more legitimate. But more importantly both Franklin and Teddy actually have a bond. They genuinely are emotionally bonded. It's not just a partner in crime thing. And that is something both Teddy and Franklin struggle with very much. We're seeing the cracks now and they're both liable but to be quite frank Teddy was never racist. Anyways, this is where Teddy starts going off the rails for me personally. I actually cringed irl at some of his behavior later on in the series. I do really love how they show Jerome be vulnerable though, it makes him so likeable. edit: Actually on second thought I think I worded that poorly WRT to Teddy's views. There are some arguments to make in favor of him being possibly racist. At the same time there are also arguments to make in favor of him not beign racist. But it's not clear, it's subtle, and seems to be a question the writers want you to ponder over. I personally don't think he's racist. Season 1 Teddy is very different from Season 5 Teddy too though and it seems like after the reporter and Alton situation happened, he may have started to pick up on prejudice.

danial javady

every time I see this dude I'm just waiting for him to be like "you're under arrest! SPD emergency!" lmao

KeYo

Also Jerome has ptsd when they did they plan to take out skully and he shot that kid in the face y’all remember Jerome was stunned for like 10 seconds and everything went quiet

Kk

Finally after so much mid. We are finally getting peak.

Jack SV

To help explain a little more peaches and Jerome met at the war the was war buddies. They both had ptsd peaches tried taking care of his ptsd with the va hospital and therapy once that stopped working he got on drugs with the white guy and later he was sick cuz he was sharing needles. Seeing Franklin kill rob because he was a junkie and Franklin thought he was to far gone spooked peaches and he decided to rob and kill them also Louie made her plan not because she was mad at being shot even though she was it was more it’s Franklin and Leon idea to talk to him fuck that I’m queen Louie imma do what I want and not listen to them just to be spiteful and in charge

Kk

I don’t think he racist

Ty Arroyo

Exactly 🤣

Ty Arroyo

It’s like what Franklin said it’s too late for that now hes been doing that

RainSD

No teddy warning franklin not to do big deals that will get him caught don’t you think the government will wonder how franklin invested thousands of dollars in a company even though he hasn’t worked for years

Xavier Coburn

He was never sick 😂😂 he was on drugs

Xavier Coburn

Hey look everyone Louie's got a plan. 🤐

Jamaal Ellison

teddy a racist piece of shit yall giving him too much leeway cmon

DIOR

I wish Leon would've mentioned that to Kane that Kev was going to shoot up a park full of innocent bystanders. And saying wild shit about killing every Mexican he saw.

Jamaal Ellison

next episode top 3

Gen V locked?

Adreyen Barnes

been itchin all week for this

Andy

YESS THE CRACK IS BACK!

metronxtdoorr

The fact Teddy is that character that most people can't stand shows how good of a character he is because imo he's suppose to make the viewers feel annoyed with his antics and how obsessed he is with his cause

Devin B

I can respect Teddy because he has been on timing since this show started. I definitely don’t always agree with him but I respect his character.

Art of Trolling

It's fascinating, but ultimately very sad to witness how the game has progressively changed Jerome over the years. In many ways he's still the same lovable dude, but has this darkness from all the dirt he's had to do. It feels like he's been dragged into doing things outside of his true character for his loved ones.

Franklin wasn't getting away with 35mil scott free
