Most jobs (even the most simplest ones like coffee shops) would rather hire men over women no matter much of a good work ethics they have because of maternity leave. Which is why the lady said she went straight to work after only being gone 2 weeks after childbirth is because they can be easily let go of.. it really prevents women in SK to be able to climb further up in the cooperate ladder.

Woo has never even thought she would date someone before Jun-ho and he is still learning. Sure, her may have volunteered and dealt with autistic people. But none like Woo, and especially not in the dating aspect. It is like teaching a kid their homework, it may seem simple to you and you get frustrated when they don't understand right away, but you have to remind yourself that this is the first time they are being introduced to this sort of thing. Jun-ho is trying so hard, he is literally the greenest of flags I have ever seen. Give him some leeway to be frustrated, because he does bounce back each time. I also do feel a tinge of pity for the Head of HR or whatever his position was at the end. Ultimately, he was used as a scapegoat by the company. Placed at the center of the dirty work and made to coerce the female employees to resign. Personally, I do not think his words to the employees were his at all, merely ways to convince them to go along with the company's plan. And when it backfires, the company throws him away when in reality, it is the true executives who should be punished for the crime. But I mean, corporate life fucking sucks. Only thing that sucks more is retail and fast food.

2023-08-05 23:47:39 +0000 UTCI dont agree with the frustration towards Junho tbh. I like how the show handles their relationship, disagreements included. Neither Attorney Woo or Junho are psychic, and it's normal for anyone in a relationship to misunderstand each other as they get to know each other more - it's natural. This also applies to them. My favourite aspect of them together is that Attorney Woo misunderstands because of her autism and Junho is stil learning over time in how to communicate with her; Junho respects her boundaries nicely whilst also respecting her enough to clearly communicate when something she does makes him unhappy, which is important because she might not realise on her own. I didn't find their disagreements frustrating at all tbh 🤷♀️

They are obviously at different experience levels and he doesn't fully understand her autism and what that can sometimes entail....so ... it's all about communication. Even if it feels like over-communication.

2023-08-05 02:35:14 +0000 UTCI think where the confusion is at is because culturally she did set it up where it was just casual but she started doing overly nice things for him ( which culturally it’s weird to be THAT nice to the opposite gender if you’re not romantically together. They’re very conservative in Korea and the dating scene is very different compared to the west) So for him she’s confusing him (just like her friend and Hairy told her too) cause one second she’s doing “dating” things and the next she says they’re not dating. In some way I’m sure he sometimes forget she’s autistic but at the same time he has every right to feel hurt by her confusing behavior. He doesn’t know the advice the friend gave her so he can’t just magically assume she got it from someone else. Also he was teasing her about the jealous thing in the other episode. He wasn’t really upset but more a cutesy teasing since she was only hyper focused on another guy while talking to him.

2023-08-04 23:14:01 +0000 UTCThe opposing attorney’s character and values were really touching 😔💔 I think they were too on the nose about making her and the women employees sympathetic (i.e. having them buy food for the Hanbada team in the middle of a trial to defend women’s/labour rights, being jovial right after a court loss because its meaningfulness ‘supersedes’ the loss, inviting the Hanbada team to the after-trial party, and etc.), they could have conveyed them as equally sympathetic without all that and in a subtler way, but I really liked her nonetheless. She’s the most upstanding and humanized attorney I’ve seen yet apart from Woo and I honestly wouldn’t mind seeing Woo join her firm at the show’s end. Your commentary about the pseudo horror murder hit was hilarious 😂 I didn’t expect it to take such an ominous turn either; I hope he doesn’t have a terminal illness 😩 Korean dramas in the past were known for always springing those on you near the end
