Everything in the show was written and executed poorly (like 14yo fanfic type beat). As someone who has watched season 1 x2 and season 2 x1, I can say with confidence its not great but at the very least it is entertaining. It would also spark conflict because its widely regarded as mid at best and because it would be considered 'wasting recording time' by alot of people. I'd say especially since next season has like 5 sequel seasons (mushoku included) to not expect an arifureta reaction for a while, if it happens at all.

Just wanted to clarify the time for you guys, and the man-god interaction also served as a way to make sure you knew. He's had ED for 2 years, since Eris left, not 2 years since last episode. It's been about 6+ months as we saw him in the winter healing the little girl and it had been a little bit of time before him hanging with Sol at the red-light district and it's close to winter again. Just to clarify, it's been 2 years since he talked to the man-god and 2 years since his ED started, not 2 years since he realized he had ED.

The manga isn't even done with the school arc(the ln is much further of course), and the reason for this slow-life arc is for things to fall into place before getting back into dangerous shit. Allowing for old and new characters to make strong connections to Rudeus, setting up for major events afterwards. It's alright to not like slow-life in anime if it isn't your thing, but this arc is more important than it would seem until those later events come into play. I'm not going to get into any specific details as that would spoil for anyone else that might read comments, just wanting to put this out there.

I agree! But I didn't like the school arc, it was the most unserious shit I've ever had the displeasure of sitting through. Too much levity, and 0 stakes at all times made it incredibly boring. Plus I don't recall any significant world building from the manga during this time. All in all it was boring. Unlike Vinland the characters and their stories just aren't interesting enough to carry the story which is further exacerbated by how perverse and demented some of these people were.

In the final scene there are characters we have already seen. - Cliff, the boy who is reading a book, appears in the OVA and wanted to marry Eris. - Zanoba, the boy who was rubbing himself against the statue, helped rudy get out of the seal he was trapped in when he went to rescue Aisha and Lilia (his sister and the maid) in the castle. I won't say who the other characters are, even if we've already seen one of them but I won't say anything because for some people it can be considered as a spoiler. The others by thinking about it a bit, you can understand who they are, even if we haven't seen them yet

We also see the two beastgirls that Eris trained in swordsmanship at the end of this episode. I'm not 100% on this one but I think we also see the guy Eris was with in the OVA. I'm looking forward to the next episode!
