Either way, I am just glad to know the vibes from episode 1 were real and nick isn't really nick, but the REAL question is... for how long has this been the case? And do both nick furys work together?

2023-07-22 10:30:02 +0000 UTCThe Varra thing makes sense because he never intended for her to kill Fury. Pagon literally said it "you ordered Varra to kill Fury when you knew she would never do it". The order was just a ploy to make it look like he wanted Fury dead but he doesn't want him dead yet. Furys persobal reason for not calling the Avengers also makes sense. For decades he had put all of his trust and faith and hope in them.....and then they failed and half the universe got clapped. They've been saying all season that Fury was different and broken after The Snap and the thing that was different was his worldview. With The Snap he realized he was wrong to put all of his trust in superheroes, which he just said in this episode to Sonya. After the Avengers failure in Infinity War, it makes sense he would be reluctant to call on them again

When he killed Pagon that's when they started to realize he's a dictator and doesn't care about them. That's why Beto called him a monster right before Gravik killed him. And yes, there are innocent Skrulls there or did you miss all the Skrull children playing in the yard when Beto arrived? Even if all the adults who are only there for refuge were OK with exterminating humans, there are still innocent Skrull children at that compound. Plus we don't know how much the civilian Skrulls knows. Giah said they're broken up into 2 groups: civilians and soldiers. Everyone in the room when Gravik killed Pagon was a soldier. The civilian Skrulls may not even know what Gravik and his soldiers are doing. Gravik is very secretive

They may temporarily transform here and there when they need to but they always have a permanent face that they go back to. That's why Talos always used the same face except when he needed to shift for a mission and Gravik always goes back to the same face.

2023-07-22 02:37:44 +0000 UTCthis is exactly why I give marvel and disney shit, back during the original avengers film they had this same dark but light theme that secret invasion has, now as the franchise got bigger it got more "family friendly" and it got rid of the dark and often times disturbing storylines, hence why im not a fan of the newer films, but secret invasion? its right up my alley and what I wish the marvel and avenger films focused more on, the "ugly" side of the universe.

Episode 2 27:40 yep look at all these innocent/civilian skrulls who are only there for refuge and are definitely not clapping and cheering for their newly appointed Leader/General Gravik. Why are they so happy? Maybe because Gravik promised them this planet.... at the cost of the lives of all humans. Also, if we going to talk about paying attention, did you notice how Gravik said he needs Nick alive to give him "The Harvest" but he also apparently gave the order to have his wife kill him? So he intended her to fail..? but still gave the order to have her kill Nick? and now that she failed Gravik considers her a traitor and sent people to kill her...? Makes a lot of sense doesn't it? Did you like Nick's reason for not asking the Avengers for help was because "this was personal" when there are 6,000 dead people? and the UN delegation in that flight woulda been blown too if Gravik had not intentionally leaked the attack to Nick through Gaia. How about when Nick is guarding the president in the hospital then when skrull rhodey shows up, Nick doesn't even try to show the other guards that he is a fkn skrull, like Sheera mentioned, heck we see Sonya show how its done by shooting her boss in the leg and revealing that he was a skrull, but Nick continues to be a circus clown show. You can easily find dozens of things that don't make sense every single episode, including the premise of the whole show, so paying attention to this show is... well, the more you think about it the less sense it will make.

The base is also where all the humans they've kidnapped to copy are being held, alongside a lot of civilian Skrulls who are only there to have a refuge (rather than because they follow Gravik, as many of them don't even know what Gravik's full plan is). They would also die in such an attack. More importantly, the US president bombing/nuking an abandoned nuclear plant in Russia would start World War 3, potentially a nuclear war, which is Gravik's plan for getting rid of all the humans.

These innocent Skrulls that rebelled against Gravik only because he failed on his mission to kill the president, or else they would still be plotting human extinction? Killing billions of people? Now they are innocent skrulls and only Gravik is bad? Even the Mad Queen Khaleesi Gaia had a big role in killing 6,000 people in Moscow, you know when her Dad, Talos, begged her to hand over the 3 bombs she was carrying and she told him to fk off..? Now she is fighting for the good guys? Will she be held accountable for her actions? When Talos was having a heart-to-heart with her on the bench she seemed proud of her decisions and said she doesn't need anyone's pity.. so she should get locked up once the situation is dealt with right...? right......? I swear, Marvel shit has such muddy logic and muddy basic morality that it has become impossible to get invested in it since phase 4 started.
