@JsnSkg It has been a long time since ss1, and they watched a lot of shows in between so please cut them so slack. They could have caught up with the story better if they had watched a recap, but it's nothing wrong if they didn't and they would watch it before watching the next episode. Some people completely forgot about the characters and were threw off so bad because of the new visuals and the fact that this is the past with everyone looked younger didn't help either, so it is quite normal. The people with good memories or did a recap could point out who's who and guessed who the person at the end was. Only those who remembered every details could confirm who that person was and even more connection to certain characters in ss1. My point is, no matter how much different people remembered the story, they would enjoy the story in their ways. If they mistook certain facts as spoiler, just corrected them and advised them to watch a recap video. You really didn't need to go as far as "dogshit memory" and all that shit. It ain't worth it man, and I think by now everyone is on top of it.

It literally was mentioned in the anime. He said his [family] name is Fushiguro, and he used to be a Zenin. We already know Megumi's family name is Fushiguro and that he has Zenin blood, as it was literally stated in the first season. The anime pretty much told you, it's common sense and instantly putting two and two together. You'd have to be extremely dense to not get that from the end of the episode. So no, not really a spoiler because that last scene already gave it away.

I'm also a supporter of watching the deen adaptation of fsn so theres that too tho most people say to skip it. You don't have to watch case files as while they do share characters, it's not needed as the important ones for strange fake are introduced nicely. Tho it is enjoyable.

@X3MA GPUs haven't been used for offline rendering at all until recently. They were done(and still are) using clusters of CPUs. GPUs are used and have been used historically for real time rendering. It's also not until recently that anime studios have been experimenting with real time rendering, because GPUs have historically not been powerful enough alongside the rendered graphics being trash. Their workflows wouldn't integrate with it. Anyways, GPUs are very capable now and far more accessible to everyone. That's the biggest benefit, alongside programmers figuring out how to actually program on a GPU. It's not easy. The applications they use have to be able to utilize the GPU. For example, OpenToonz(used by studio ghbili iirc), doesn't know how to utilize the GPU.

Some of this might not be required viewing yet (the special is an 'Episode 0' of sorts), but you'll want to have watched, or at least be familiar with the characters from, these anime entries: - Fate/Zero - Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works - Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel (movie trilogy) - Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files: Rail Zeppelin Grace Note Something to keep in mind is that the "Fate" universe consists of numerous timelines, so when I say you need to watch something, I'm speaking more to the lore and characters. It isn't required for the new special, but "Fate/Apocrypha" is another entry in the universe. I enjoyed it, but again, not required.

What's with the visuals? I enjoyed the episode overall, but I can't get over how beautiful some scenes looked... and how janky, ugly, and weirdly drawn others were. Maybe the Blu-ray release will fix the lower quality moments, but I wish they'd give the broadcast version more polish. If animation studios offered their employees higher pay, humane working hours, and more time to polish an episode before it exits production, just think of the quality boost we'd see. Again, I enjoyed the episode, but I also would have been fine waiting another 6 - 12 months for a better experience.

Wrong anime, this isn't Konosuba. We won't be seeing Megumin until next year in Season 3. It's obvious it's Megumi's dad. That last scene all but says he is. From Season 1, we know that FUSHIGURO Megumi has Zen'in blood from his dad, who was like "Nah, fuck the Zen'in clan, I'm out." Then there's the fact he literally said Fushiguro. The moment he said that should be an absolute dead giveaway. Only those who are severely lacking upstairs in the noggin wouldn't be able to get that.

So to start off this is taking place before the movie which is why gojo has glasses because he's still in school; then by the movie he switched to the white blind fold then to season 1 he has the black one. Roshi was correct the white haired woman in the beginning is Mei Mei, she's the one with the big braid who loves money. The woman in red and white is Utahime. She's the teacher of the other class during the school event with the big scar under her eye. Maki and Mei Zenin are the 2 twin sisters. Maki is the one that wears the glasses because she can't see curses and uses cursed tools because she has no cursed energy and her sister is the one with the revolver that creates bullets. Fushiguro Megumi is the Sasuke of the trio with Itadori , Nobara and him.
