I get her backstory and her goal of never being in the position she was in when she was a kid. The problem with this is, she has already worked years now, over 10 with the company. She has money and the guy she is "interested" in has money too. So what is she waiting for exactly? She doesn't need to wait anymore for Saeroyi to get revenge because she can leave. I also feel too many are downplaying her choice to work for them in the first place. I get Searoyi says it's cool but how you do work for the man that killed your love interest father and you stay around well they try everything to ruin his life All the while on the side lines saying " man, that's crazy but he's ok and still like me, so it's cool". I know kdramas will kdrama, along with other hyper toxic fantasy romantic storylines that focus this "saving" Soo-ah attitude. She never needed saving and she is doing well on her own choice. Searoyi is the one needing saving but she barely lifts a finger to assist him at all. It makes Soo-ah hard to root for and honestly low key resent her character. Yi-Seo is holding Searoyi dreams on her back and I don't see how you match that.

She didnt just work at the orphanage, she was an orphan. and not because her parents died, her mom literally left her there at an old enough age to remember it all. her whole life's goal is to be successful enough to not have anything taken from her again. that goal for her is just as important as the revenge is for saeroyi. she will do anything to secure it even if it means working for the enemy. she put in the work and did whatever was necessary for self security. Saeroyi knew that and thats why he said dont worry about me, and ill make enough to make you quit. i dont think of it as her stringing saeroyi along. she knew from the moment he said he had a X many years plan that his revenge was top priority. i personally saw the "i like rich men" as a motivator. also she wouldnt want anything bad for him which is also why she said she was kidding and to go after Yi-Seo.

They both liked each other for over a decade but for some reason refused to actually get personal with each other, only meeting for drinks and dinners once in a while.

She could have switched sides when he was started the pub. She could have switched sides when he confessed to her on the bus. She could have switched sides when they founded IC. She could have switch sides when he they got the investment. She could have switch sides when he refused to quit and come to her. She could have switch sides when they lost the tv show. She could have switch sides when they expanded to china. Even if IC wasn't the biggest food company, im pretty sure she would still have had a really high position in IC, maybe even higher than what she did in Jangga. But she has made her choice that her job is more important than Saeroyi and she waited a little too long to switch sides, not its too late.
