Even though we see this deeper side of her, Shirogane showed his feelings in massive amounts and continued to ask if they wanted to be a couple yet she insisted he was spineless. Imo, she was being the coward here

Then verbal and mental abuse to top it off, upbringing or not she her behavior was very cruel and unnecessary.

Season one had Miyuki and Kaguya doing shenanigans and when things started getting a little repetitive, our boi Ishigami comes in. Same with season 2 and Iino. Then in season 3 we got Maki Shijo and the culture festival, which was a change in the dynamic. Plus, we're progressively getting more and more Hayasaka which is always a win. Basically, this manga knows to keep the comedy fresh and it's great.
