Just to prepare you guys. This show follows the LNs actually extremely faithfully almost 1 to 1 each episode is actually a chapter. There is a manga as well by a different person who took some liberties. So there is an ongoing beef battle between LN/Anime enjoyers and the cry baby manga readers, who complain about the show constantly because it doesn't follow the manga which IMO and most peoples is a worse adaptation of the LNs. Just preparing you for that inevitable comment spam from them crying i already saw like 4-5 of them lmao.

just some fun info guys, Nobody can see shadow face when he is shadow mode, people only can see his red eyes. You can search the illust from LN and see shadow face cover with dark aura, but anime production don't use that because they want the audience to see cid expression and some budget and time reason for animators

Also, like some people mentioned, the reason they don't recognize him is because in the source material Shadow and his girls wear masks to obscure their identity. In the anime they just omitted that for some reason. Maybe just simpler to animate...? If you don't know that it does feel weird that no one recognizes them
