All the Captains had a meeting to get prepared for the incoming attack though. The 1st Lieutenant gave them that VERY important information before dying. They really should have planned to at least limit it to sacrificing 1 Bankai... not 4 captains using it at the same time and all 4 losing it. All 4 used it at the same time because they had NO plans, but they could have easily made a plan (before getting attacked) to have 1 person using it and see how he loses it, since Bankai is super important and they know if you use it, you lose it, lol.

you have to keep in mind that they literally got invaded unexpectedly and are getting desperate for obvious reasons. They aren't going to be making the most rational decisions in the moment. The captains had no real way of coordinating perfectly with one another in that moment

I did not finish reading the manga, but I know Roshi has, but randomly bursting out laughing at that comment seemed so hilarious to me even if I don't know what it was about, LOL. They made fun of him once and simply dropped it, it was never done in repetition at least not by any reactors or anyone else that mattered. Also he’s not a dog, he’s a anthropomorphic Wolf, easily one of the most underrated and incredibly well written characters especially in this arc but I won’t spoil and it doesn’t take him being “my favorite” to see that as he’s not even one of my favorites anyways. It’s not about what I think he deserves, it’s about what he actually deserves and the annoyance of repetition.

Roshi, Sheera and Luap: Please read: :) Well Byakuya thought that they can "Seal" it and not "Steal" it, which means that even though the Captains are Handicapped, they can still fight on Equal grounds using their Shikai but now its different: so many people missed this little Detail: They can literally Steal the Zanpaktous Spirit: As seen when Toshiro calls for Hyorinmaru: It didnt respond to him. Thats why they are shocked to see that they cant even use Shikai.

Damn…I wish Sheera who’s usually intellectually on point and ahead wouldn’t make fun of Komamura (the Wolf captain) simply for his appearance as he represents the loyalty of the soul society and anyone will come to regret ever making fun of him later. I just expected a little bit better maturity from her even if it is just for fun, which was fine at first but now it’s getting annoying. If you don’t agree don’t respond and keep it moving. The Captain bankai scene was never showcased as good as it could've here or in the manga imo. The plan wasn't for all 4 of them to use their Bankai simultaneously. That just happened to be coincidence because those four came up with the same idea i.e. each one was offering themselves up as the sacrifice. It's why we get that small scene with Unohana mentioning the other 3 captains who bankai seemed to have been taken too. That's how I always interpreted that scene. I don't believe the 4 of them would go into this thinking "Yeah let's all use bankai at this exact moment." It's just a hectic situation that's happening so fast there's no time to prepare.

Because it's like toilet humor. It's funny hearing it the first few times in different content, but then it gets annoying as all hell when every piece of content does it and even more so when they do it more than once. She's running this low-grunting voice sex inuendo joke too many times, in all these videos and it's been going on for a few months now. Nobody is telling her to never speak, we're saying tone that down because it's stale and getting on our nerves.

We paid for it because some of us, like me and possibly you guys, have been with the Roshigang for years. I joined them around the time they were watching Haikyuu ( they maybe had 500-600ish patreons at the time ). They were hilarious, loved the hyped, some series I never seen and watched with them. Very consistent content and insight. Somewhere in the middle of this year, Sheera ( and Lupa because he does this sometimes too ) suddenly found this sex inuendo joke scheme of low grunting sexually and turning a scene into a sex joke hilarious. It was fine at first, but suddenly she ( and sometimes Lupa ) starts doing it out of nowhere in damn near every reaction video and it's genuinely ruining it for me. I never said anything about it, but now I'm seeing other people bothered by this. I thought I was the only one. For me, I just want her to take a break from that joke scheme or at the very least tone that down. She started doing it too much and now it's spanning across too many videos. It's actually very annoying. I love her but she's gotta realize what she's ( and sometimes Lupa ) doing is getting on people's nerves to the point where now it's being a conversation in the comments. Me and anyone complaining paid for the content and we can complain about it any way we want. All we want is a simple thing, for her to stop doing that so many times in so many videos. We don't want her ran out of the trio.

Honestly, people just want her to tone that down. It's uncomfortable and annoying and stale because she does it way, too, many, times, in, all, these, reactions. Her sex jokes were pretty hilarious in the past but out of nowhere in the middle of this year, she's spamming and it's actually genuinely ruining the content we paid for. And because I, and others, paid for this, we can complain about this. You worry that we're ganging up on her but this is an actual problem that honestly should be addressed because it's actually ruining what we wanted to see every time she butts in the unnecessary sex innuendos. Their personalities are the deciding factor in me choosing them over any other reaction channel. Why do people pay for a service they don't want to use? The complaints about Sheera's jokes at serious moments are completely unfounded because the entire point of this patreon/channel is to watch a reaction of a show, not to watch a show by yourself with three people sitting quietly alongside you. I'm paying for a personality, not the show. They kinda covered the Bankai stuff you talked about at the end in the episode, like they said even if Mayuri had all the info he would probably take a day and yet he was working with no information, they thought he wasn't gonna have any solution so it would be better for them to lose some Bankais to try figure it out rather than fight for days without using it at all. Also from the old show very few people actually have Bankais, they originally said that a requirement for becoming a captain with the exception of Zaraki was that you can use a Bankai. I do think its a little silly that they didn't use Renji instead but that's just how it seemed to go.

I mean Hitsuguya beat that arrancar Shawlong, basically beat Luppi (6th Espada) who got saved by when Ulquiorra was pulling their squad to retreat after getting Orihime, won against Tier Harribel (3rd Espada) but she got saved when Wonderweiss came there and Yukio (even tho this wasn't really a fight). He win quite a bit tbh.

Renji technically beat Uryuu when he first appeared but that was off screen. Both of them have two on screen victories. Renji against that bull arrancar and full bringer, and Hitsugaya against the substitute no.6 Espada and Halibel even though she broke out of being frozen with help. Edit: I forgot about the arrancar Hitsugaya beat that came with the bull arrancar and the fullbringer with the PSP he beat as well.

@Merfhew I noticed it as well. This time I immediately read the chapter after watching. I get they might've wanted to end the episode showing Ichigo sealed but I wish they cut down on the recap at the beginning to add that exchange with Akon. Kind of felt like Toei. Other than that the episode was flawless the art was beautiful and characters stayed on model.

They didn’t have different plans, they had the same plans, they were going to see how bankai got sealed, then work together as a duo to break it. We get one plan told across 4 perspectives Soi fon just adds at the end they might kill them faster, that’s why soi fon also says “but then again” right before the other line, she said the same plan as the others, and added “but then again….”

you were right. The answer is because Ichigo's bankai is "hollowfied" meaning it is more similar to an arrancar's ressurection than a typical bankai. The method of Bankai stealing that the quincy came up with doesn't work on hollow reiatsu. hope this helped.

Basically it's cause Ichigo isn't 100% Soul Reaper. His power is a bunch of stuff intertwined with one another so they can't take just the Soul Reaper aspect of his power. At least that's what I'm assuming cause I read the manga a while ago and forgot the specifics but that seems like the gist of why they can't take it.

Because I remember specifically that Ichigo is half Soul Reaper and half Quincy and part Hollow. I remember who Zangetsu really is. I also kinda remember that "Hollow Ichigo" is Ichigo's actual Zanpakuto spirit and that Zangetsu was Ichigo's Quincy powers because the source of all Quincy power is Yhwachb and that's why Zangetsu looks just like him. Important for yall to know Roshi, but the anime cut out some dialogue from all the Captains. Soi-Fon, Toshiro, Byakuya, and Kommamura each had different plans before they activated their Bankai. Kommamura wanted to see how the properties of the seal worked by analyzing it first hand, that way they could understand how to combat it. Toshiro told Rangiku that if they could seal his Bankai, they would fight closely together to break that seal. Soi-Fon thought she could kill the sternritter she was fighting BEFORE they could seal it. And Byakuya thought they could only seal one at a time, which is why he wanted Renji to use his to kill As Nodt afterwards which wasn't an unrealistic assumption on Byakuya's part. Sure, Byakuya is obviously stronger, but it wouldn't mean Renji would be incapable of killing their opponent with his own Bankai because its 10x increase to his power. But the problem is that Blut was too strong to get around and now As Nodt stole his Bankai, so now they can't risk using it all. But like they said, without the multiplier power increase, they CAN'T Beat their opponents because they're already a LOT stronger than them.

Honestly I wouldn't consider dropping someone as them being out of the picture cause they could come back to the scene as quickly as possible. Plus like you said they probably assume they can only take one at a time but even I wouldn't want to take that chance to find that out. There's just too many unknown variables that the Soul Reapers have to figure out and it sucks they have to do it in the middle of battle cause one wrong assumption can be the end of them.

You know what's crazy about Byakuya's idea to Renji, it wouldn't work because there were two Quincies. If it was just those two against one Quincy then Byakuya's idea of being the guinea pig would've made sense but he had to assume that all Quincies can seal/steal Bankais so as soon as Renji used his the other Quincy could potentially steal it.

Byakuya said that ish bout Renji beating him with his bankai thinking he would be able to weaken him a lot before his bankai could get stolen. None of the captains knew the quincies could do it with the quickness lol that’s why they used bankai hoping they could kill or weaken the quincies before the seal or for their lieutenant to finish off. They also knew they need to figure out how to break the seal and could only do that if theirs were possibly sealed as a sacrifice. But when they found out the bankais were stolen completely not just sealed within they knew it was too dangerous. Also they were all using Blut that was the blue marks on their skin.

The call Akon made to Ichigo was probably my favorite scene from the episode. It's amazing to see the bonds that the Shinigami as a collective formed with Ichigo. He started off as a hunted invader of the the Sereitei and is now someone who Shinigami can put aside their pride and call on to save them from annihilation.
