I mean black Italian do exist. And mix race couple can spawn kids of various colors. It's funny to assume that because one is Italian, he can't be black for some reason. That being said, I can't find anything regarding Araki confirming his ancestry online.

Just the way he went about it was kind of sloppy but it was a mistake on his end.

They are referred to have Sicilian decent, and thus have tanned or darker skin. This obviously isn’t always passed down as seen in Weather, Perla, and IN REAL LIFE.
