I’m surprised you didn’t like the middle part, for me in terms of the adapted episodes I feel like the middle was better than the first set of episodes we got, not sure how these ending ones hold up compared to the manga though.

But on topic the reason I say it doesn't matter is because even thought that's the explanation for them gravitating to Pucci and following along, that doesn't really distinguish them from any other Jojo mini villain to me. If they would have removed the star birthmark, and just used the same old tired "stand users are attracted to stand users" reasoning that drives this entire franchise then it wouldn't have changed how 90% of this played out. My opinion of this part is probably skewed because I didn't care for the way the whole Heaven on earth plot played out and as a result this is definitely not one of my favorite parts.

It also helps to compare them to Giorno, seeing how they are all misguided and show fear/weakness. While Giorno is strong minded and righteous.

I’m not trying to clap anyone in the comments lol the anime didn’t really do a great job at explaining. One of my most anticipated fights to see animated because of how absurd it is. Great adaptation

The body and soul act separately and only the Soul can still use a Stand, if you'e a Stand user. When you're dragged into some story, your fate will become the same as the character you've been put in the role off, that's why it's dangerous to be dragged in a story where the main character dies. The only way for the Soul to come back to the body is by destroying the fictional character that dragged you into the story or defeat the stand user. Hope this clears up any confusion! :)
