SETTING: A scenic, crisp autumn park, leaves crunching underfoot, the air just chilly enough to justify getting closer. Idyllic, romantic… if not for the deranged swan with a personal vendetta and my inability to keep my mouth shut at the right time.

MOOD: Frantic, awkward, and slightly sweaty, the kind of atmosphere where someone would either kiss you or sprint in the opposite direction.

CHARACTERS: Me, a fully grown adult with the emotional competency of a teaspoon, and you, the person I love but absolutely refuse to make this easy for.

THEME: The struggle of trying to be smooth when life is actively against you, the cruel irony of love being easier said than done, and the undeniable proof that swans are, in fact, the true villains of romance.
