LIVESTREAM - Roleplay Ideas Are My Gold, and I Have a Nasty Hoarding Habit
Added 2025-02-19 19:47:44 +0000 UTCRight, I’m going live at 20:00 GMT, so if you’ve got any audio roleplay ideas, now’s the time to hand them over. No sudden moves. No one gets hurt.
Otherwise, it’s just me, rambling into the void as usual. Come keep me company?

SUGGESTION GUIDANCE
Length Categories of Audios
Speedrun (Very Short: Under 5 Minutes)
A few words, a fleeting moment, and it’s done. Like catching the end of a conversation you weren’t supposed to hear or realising you’ve walked into the middle of something important and then immediately walking back out again. Quick, easy, and over before you’ve had time to overthink it.
If you’re suggesting something for this, keep it simple. A single idea, a moment in time, nothing sprawling. No need for backstory or elaborate setups, just something that works in short, sharp bursts. Think light-touch rather than deep dive.
Side Quest (Short: 5-10 Minutes)
Short and to the point, or at least as much as I’m capable of being. Enough time to set a scene, have a chat, and leave things neatly (or not so neatly) wrapped up. The audio equivalent of saying you’ll just check one thing and then somehow it’s half an hour later.
This is where there’s just enough space for a bit of back-and-forth. Something that feels like a snippet of a larger world but doesn’t need all the extra bits filled in. A clear focus is key. One setting, one idea, something that makes sense in a quick exchange without feeling rushed.
Cutscene (Medium: 10-20 Minutes)
A proper conversation, a little space to breathe, maybe even a moment to think before things move along. Long enough to feel like you’ve actually been somewhere, short enough that you don’t have to fully commit to staying.
This is the sweet spot for something that unfolds a little. Maybe a small twist, a shift in tone, a chance to linger on the details. Not too much setup, but enough room to let things settle before moving on. If the idea needs a little room to grow but doesn’t need an entire dramatic arc, this is the place for it.
Boss Battle (Medium-Long: 20-30 Minutes)
Somewhere between just a quick chat and this has gone on longer than expected. Maybe things take a turn, maybe there’s a bit more to say. Either way, we’re here now. Kettle’s on if you fancy it.
This length suits ideas that need a bit of patience. Ones where things shift and unfold naturally. There’s time for layers, for things to not be immediately obvious. Not necessarily big in scale, but something that benefits from sitting with it for a while. Good for ideas that are more about the journey than the destination.
Final Level (Long: 30+ Minutes)
If we’re doing this, we’re doing it properly. The kind of thing where you settle in, let things play out, and by the end, you’ve either got answers or even more questions. Or both. Probably both.
For this, the idea needs to hold its weight for the full stretch. Not just something that can be dragged out, but something that actually wants the time. It doesn’t have to be fast paced or full of action. Quieter ideas work just as well, but there should be enough depth to keep things moving without feeling padded. Think of it like telling a story rather than just a moment.
Audio Genres
Fantasy – Just a Bit of Magic
A world where things don’t quite follow the rules. Maybe it’s ancient prophecies, maybe it’s talking swords, or maybe it’s just a wizard who keeps losing their hat. Either way, expect a fair amount of dramatic cloaks.
Sci-Fi – Space, Tech, and Other Questionable Decisions
Futuristic worlds, advanced gadgets, and the occasional ethical dilemma about whether your toaster is sentient. Could be deep space, a neon lit cyberpunk city, or a very enthusiastic mad scientist.
Romance – Ah, Feelings
That moment when hearts race, words get all tangled, and suddenly the world feels a bit too small. Could be sweet, could be dramatic, could involve a lot of very meaningful eye contact.
Horror – That’s Not the Wind
Something’s off, and we both know it. Maybe it’s the thing in the corner, maybe it’s the voice whispering where no one should be, or maybe it’s just the deep, sinking feeling that you really shouldn’t have come here.
Slice of Life – Just Existing, Really
It’s the little things. Late-night chats, morning coffee, or getting mildly exasperated over missing socks. No grand quests, just life being life, with all the odd, wonderful moments that come with it.
Mystery – Something’s Not Right Here
A locked room, a missing clue, or just a story that doesn’t add up. Someone’s hiding something, and it’s only a matter of time before the truth comes out. Probably in dramatic fashion.
Supernatural – Not Entirely Normal
Vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and things that go hmm in the night. The world looks ordinary, but scratch the surface and it’s full of creatures that don’t quite belong. Including, possibly, you.
Action & Adventure – Running Might Be Involved
Fast paced, a little reckless, and definitely high energy. Whether it’s a high stakes chase, a sword fight on a rooftop, or a very sudden need to escape, this one doesn’t sit still for long.
Comedy – A Bit of a Mess, Really
Things don’t always go to plan. In fact, they rarely do. Whether it’s misunderstandings, bad timing, or sheer ridiculousness, this is where everything goes a little sideways but in a fun way.
Dystopian & Post-Apocalyptic – Well, That Went Badly
The world is in ruins, society’s hanging by a thread, and somehow we’re still here. Could be oppressive corporations, could be zombies, could just be the daily struggle of finding decent tea.
Wholesome & Comforting – It’s All Alright
Soft voices, warm words, and the kind of thing that makes the world feel a little kinder. Nothing to worry about here, just a quiet, reassuring moment to breathe.
Thriller & Suspense – Don’t Look Behind You
A ticking clock, a shadow that wasn’t there before, and the feeling that something is closing in. Whether it’s a high stakes mission or just a conversation with too many unspoken words, the tension’s not letting up any time soon.
Historical – A Trip to the Past
Different time, different rules, same amount of trouble. Could be a battlefield, a candlelit manor, or a crowded marketplace full of secrets. No modern conveniences, so good luck with that.
Noir & Detective Stories – Trouble’s Here
Dark alleyways, unreadable expressions, and a mystery wrapped in too many layers. A world where trust is a gamble and nothing’s ever as simple as it seems.
Psychological & Mind-Bending – Wait, What
Something’s not quite right, and the more you think about it, the less sense it makes. Maybe it’s a dream, maybe it’s a trick, or maybe it’s just reality shifting when you’re not looking.
