Do you ever have one of those moments where your brain just stops working mid-thought? That’s exactly what happened when I woke up and realised I was snuggled up to you. I swear, I wasn’t planning to fall asleep on you... probably.

EVENT: I fell asleep in your lap, woke up to find out thighs are unfairly cosy, and now I’m awkwardly trying to pretend it never happened. Somewhere along the way, we’ve apparently skipped a chapter and gone straight to “so we’re dating now,” which I definitely should have noticed sooner.

SETTING: A sofa, a warm blanket of denial, and a distinct lack of personal space. Also, there’s supposed to be pizza involved, but somehow that’s not the main focus anymore.

MOOD: A perfect mix of playful tension, accidental intimacy, and me desperately trying not to nuzzle you again. It’s all very cosy and mildly horrifying at the same time.

CHARACTERS: Me: a master of overthinking, accidental napping, and entirely too many excuses. You: unreasonably calm, infuriatingly comfortable, and definitely enjoying this more than you’re letting on.

THEME: The fine line between friendship and something more, crossed with the subtle grace of a train derailment. Throw in a dash of vulnerability disguised as humour, and we’ve got ourselves a recipe for emotional disaster—or something better.
