The Agnus alone arc is finished. All elf chapter is started and will go for some chapters.

Here is the sneek peek of the chapters…

“Agnes, actually, there’s something I haven’t told you for a while… The reason you’re gathering mana… is because of me.”

“What?”

Agnes was surprised and quickly sat up.

Since I said that the reason she hadn’t gotten mana or magic crystal so far was because of me, not just bad luck, there was no other way to interpret it.

But she seemed to take it in a completely different direction than what I was trying to say.

“I never would have thought that Dayke was in that condition…”

“No, that’s not it—”

“…I’m sorry. I ended up exposing something you might be ashamed of because of my own selfishness. I’m just happy to continue like this from now on, so please don’t worry too much about it.”

Agnes's eyes filled with regret and sadness as she tried to be considerate of me.

I hurried to explain before she became more upset.

“Agnes, that’s not what I meant. It’s not that there’s something wrong with me. It’s my abilities that prevented you from getting mana or magic crystal.”

“Abilities? You mean the ones you received from the Demon King?”

I looked straight at the puzzled Agnes and nodded.

“That’s right. When I use that ability, I can control whether or not my partner becomes magician. I made it so that you couldn’t mana or magic crystal, which is why there was no news from you or the other elves.”

“I can’t believe something like that was even possible…”

“I was afraid that you might be in trouble if you got mana or magic crystal unexpectedly. I’m really sorry for not telling you earlier.”

Even though I bowed my head and apologized, I could see the concern in her expression. Anyone would feel uneasy knowing that their body had been affected by someone else’s power.

However, Agnes’s response wasn’t as heavy as I expected.

“…Thank goodness.”

“Huh?”

“I thought there was something wrong with my body, but I’m relieved to know that both of us are fine.”

She let out a sigh of relief and then asked, “You said your ability is what’s stopping me from getting mana or magic crystal. Can you undo it? Can you make it normal again?”

“Yes. If I just think about it, I can restore everything back to normal easily.”

“I see! It feels like a dream that there’s still a chance.”

Agnes was now visibly more relaxed. She adjusted her posture and looked at me. Unlike before.

“I know it’s selfish of me, but… it’s been my lifelong wish.”

There was no way I could refuse her. It was the sincere wish of the elf I loved.

And truthfully, I had also dreamed of starting a magic circle or guild with her if the circumstances ever allowed it. A harmonious guild was a natural desire, not just for elves, but for humans as well.

“Yes. I also want you to give birth to my mana or magic crystal, Agnes.”

“Thank you, Dayke!”

Agnes couldn’t contain her joy and immediately wrapped her arms around me.

Seeing her so happy made me feel the same, so I held her tightly in return.

“But…”

“What?”

“Yes. Once I use my power, you’ll definitely become magcian.”

“Is that really true? That’s an incredible ability!”

I had seen Agnes smile many times before, but this was the first time I had ever seen her so thrilled. Maybe that was why her excitement made me want to please her even more.

“Do you want to do it now? I can go one more round.”

I expected her to be overjoyed by my words, but her answer was unexpectedly calm.

“…No, not now. I need to speak with the other elves first, and I think I should prepare myself too. Can we do it later?”

“Alright, let’s do that.”

“Thank you so much. I love you, Dayke.”

“It feels like a dream that I’ll be able to have mana by tomorrow…”

“Me too. If I had known this earlier, I would have told you long ago.”

“I guess we should rest for now. I’ll need my strength for ceremony.”

“I’m tired too. Good night, Agnes.”

“Good night, Dayke.”

 [POV Change]

The next day, the night I had promised with Agnes finally arrived.

Even though what we were about to do was nothing new, my heart was still pounding with nervous excitement for no clear reason.

Considering that Agnes had asked for some time to prepare herself, I figured she must have been feeling just as nervous as I was.

 “Dayke, it’s me.”

Her voice came from beyond the door. My heart skipped a beat. When I told her to come in, the door opened—and my eyes widened at the unexpected sight.

“Huh? Everyone…”

It wasn’t just Agnes who had come to see me.

Rize, Kiella, Fine, Iril, and even Nermedia stood there with her. Every elf in the kingdom was now lined up before me.

“Uh… come in first.”

Since I couldn’t just leave them all standing outside, I invited them in. Agnes noticed my confusion and began to explain.

 “Is that true?”

Rize, standing at the front, spoke up with a calm smile.

“Yes. I hadn’t said anything before because I didn’t want to pressure you, but… if it’s alright.”

“The devil and the monsters are gone now,” Rize replied softly. “It’s okay to rest for a bit.”

Agnes nodded in agreement. “Exactly. Once the magic grows to a certain, we can return to the Knights.”

Rize smiled and bowed her head slightly at Agnes’s understanding words.

It seemed like both of them had already made up their minds, so my gaze naturally turned toward Kiella.

“I… If it’s alright with you.”

It was sudden, but hearing her say that filled me with warmth. Still, I couldn’t help but worry about her tendency to overwork.

“It’s fine,” I said, “as long as you promise to take a proper break from work.”

“…Yes. I’ll handle things appropriately.”

Her answer sounded determined, though I doubted she truly planned to rest. Even so, I could tell that, for someone as devoted to her duty as Kiella, this was already a big concession.

Next was Fine.

Of all people, I hadn’t expected her to come here as well.

 “Yes!” she answered without hesitation.

Her expression was so bright that for a moment I wondered if she even understood what being 7 th circle meant.

Her sincerity shone through, and I felt foolish for doubting her even for a moment. A smile naturally formed on my face.

“I see. Alright.”

“Um… Dayke.”

I turned to see Iril, who had been quiet until now. She was looking at me with gentle eyes.

 “Thanks, Dayke~”

After Iril, I met Nermedia’s gaze as she stood beside me. Her shoulders were slumped, and she looked as if simply being here made her feel out of place.

“I’m sorry. It’s not my place either. I’ll go back to my room.”

I couldn’t think of anything to say, so I just stayed silent. Nermedia hesitated, her steps unsteady as she turned toward the door.

“Wait a minute!”

The one who stopped her was Iril. She tightly grabbed her hand, refusing to let go, and looked at me.

“I wouldn’t ask for anything else. Can’t you just stay here and hold her for a while? Please, Dayke.”

I realized that sending her away now would only make things more uncomfortable, so I eventually nodded.

“Okay, okay. Nermedia can stay too.”

 “Now…”

When I turned my head, I saw a blonde elf standing there.

Enjoy!!
