Alot of people have asked how we self release our music.
We release on labels, but we also self release alot. Most of our Spotify is self releases, and we make most of our money from self releasing.
We use Distrokid. We know its confusing to choose out of all the aggregators out there, Ditto, Tunecore, CDbaby etc.
We can`t tell you which one is better because we don`t and have not used them all.
But we can tell you that Distrokid give you 100% of your royalties and you pay a very small fee yearly and we do recieve our streaming royalties every month.
We`ve been given a discount code for new sign ups if you want to use it and get the ball rolling which you can get here -

One of the best peices of advice we can offer however is that you self releaase your own music AND release on labels. Streaming is going to be around for a long time, and having full control over some of your releases and getting paid every month as you grow you career can make the difference in helping pay your rent.
It may small at first, but as you grow, the more tunes that are 100% yours, will increase that monthly cheque. Spotify and Apple music are a big part of the monthly cheque. Be in control from the start.
